[quote:453964efda="Jerlins"]I may have to leave proxies after rd 1. Now, what happens if proxies are left with someone, and they don't respond within the 3 hour time limit? I have limited access both Wednesday, and even less access on Thursday so it might get sticky.
And on a similar note, is the clock still on from say 12am to 8am? It's very possible one could retire for the night behind thinking he's safe to sleep, only to find out 3 or 4 proxies have put him on the closck at 2am.
Just a Zen question....
Why is the clock on during weekdays when folks are at work, but off on the weekends when most are available (I'm in retail so I haven't a clue what weekends are, btw)[/quote:453964efda]
Here's how the clock works, on at 10am EDT off at 11 pm EDT. It is off overnight Now that doesn't mean you can't make a pick overnight but noone gets skipped overnight. It also basically means that if you are up after 8pm, in essence you have until 1 pm the next day to make a pick Becuse the clock will turn off before you have to pick at night, and you still get 3 hours the next day.
This is the way nearly every draft I've run or been a part of has worked. It's the model the somdraft site uses.
As for why it's on during the week and off on weekends, because most of the rest of us have access from work during business hours and don't work weekedns, but have family obligations, trips, grocery shopping etc.
If you are working on weekends, Jerry, it will work in your favor.
As for proxies, I am virtually always available, that might change after Wednesday, as my days as a stay at home dad may be ending, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Other than that, just ask if anyone is around to take them. Doot just assume someone is there and send them, get a confirmation.
This is only a 5 rounder, I'm hopeful it's done before Friday in all honesty.
As I said no clock for the first round.
And 1 other thing, there is a 3 hour clock for [b:453964efda]both[/b:453964efda] picks on the "corners", not 6. I've heard all the arguments both for and against, and I'm making an executive decision on this one.
The "corners" are betweens rounds, 2 & 3, 3 & 4,and 4 & 5.
