Loyalty Discount: HALF OFF all new teams this week

chump change

Postby JimKomurek » Wed Mar 01, 2006 5:01 am

Though with this savings, it can hardly buy me lunch and it still put's me $2.50 short of a lap dance, this is an excellent business gesture in a business environment where most companies don't care about their customers.

Good job Strat !! Now if we can fire HAL and get a computerized Bobby Cox to manage my bullpen, now we got something!!

I am going to take advantage of this deal, start a loyalty league, and your all welcome to join. Even you HAL !

I would also like to add that from experience of being

in the business of owning a business and being in the business of being a nice guy, every time you offer something to somebody instead of just saying thanks, they ask for 2006 games or they say they have too many credits, or they refer to offer as chump change.

So Predictable.

Got a problem with that :?:

As for the saying thanks...would you ever let someone take a product from your business without paying but only "saying thanks"? I doubt it. What's wrong with asking for 2006? How many people referred to the offer as "chump change"? Your post is very good...at generalizing.

Thanks Bernie for the hard work and the discount. :D

Add me to the list of those who appreciate the offer, BUT it doesn't help me at all. As with many others, I'm simply waiting for the '06 cards come out. I'm not complaining here, trust me, but this is the wrong decision.

Perhaps you could fix it where everyone could get 1/2 off 5 teams, with offer expiring 3/31. After everyone buys 5 teams, then regular pricing kicks in. (?)

Just a thought...

The questions is.... how many people already will buy a 5 pack in 06... discount or not.

As for me, I probably will buy at least 2 5 packs already. I am burned out on 05 and play theme only in 69.. where I may buy a team or 2 b4 this week is out.

I think it is a great jesture, but I think it would be wrong for 06. That of course is coming from the businessman side of me.

If they did go to 06, I think a one team only discount would be appropriate.

But, no matter what they do, I am here to sepnd my money.

I agree. A one team only discount for '06 would be adequate.

I'm pretty sure there will be no 06 discount, it's just not the way TSN works. If you had a new game coming out that you know, discount or not, that people will buy a lot of it, why would you lose that revenue?

Though I'm still waiting on a reply from bernie to my PM, I really didn't want to take it public....

You're right geekor. Looking into my crystal ball, I see no breaks coming for the 2006 game. Too bad.

The only way they "could" offer it would be to stop buying teams/packs or at least not buy as many.

If guys had the ability to put their $ where ther mouths are, something "could" come of it.

To the powers that be @ TSN...I love this game, so don't get me wrong here. But there is something really wrong with your policy. Discount or not, I'd like to buy a few 5-packs. BUT, being able to transfer ONLY 1 credit is ridiculous. Hell, I'd buy WITHOUT the discount if I could transfer a few credits to the 2006 game. And, if you don't mind me saying...A credit is a credit is a credit. If I plop down $ to buy a 5-pack, I want to be able to choose which games I want to play.
