Loyalty Discount: HALF OFF all new teams this week

Postby visick » Wed Mar 01, 2006 4:11 pm

Very simple.

The current 50% discount will end this Friday. After that, they will go back to the regular 5-pack price or a single team price of $24.95.

When the new game (2006) comes out, only 1 credit will be transferrable. So you either are going to pay $24.95 or $99 for a 5 pack.

The other Strat games are NOT affected by this because the cards are NOT going to change.

Discounts....

Postby GARYTHOMAS » Wed Mar 01, 2006 8:24 pm

thanks guys for the price break. I had 8 2005 teams going at the time of the breakdown. One was in a finals series and one was ending up the season. It was irritating not to be able to get to those teams for several days. One made the playoffs in a close race and the finals team lost. The others did not really matter that much, always set the starters for the games ahead on the teams that do not have set rotations. Believe that the discounts are a more than fair compensation for the irritation we endured. Have used this as an opportunity to try out the ATGII leagues for the first time and have saved a bundle of cash. Some will always complain instead of trying to make the best out of a bad situation!

[quote:7a236ec35e="1crazycanuk"][quote:7a236ec35e="JimKomurek"]in the business of owning a business and being in the business of being a nice guy, every time you offer something to somebody instead of just saying thanks, they ask for 2006 games or they say they have too many credits, or they refer to offer as chump change.

So Predictable.

Got a problem with that :?:

As for the saying thanks...would you ever let someone take a product from your business without paying but only "saying thanks"? I doubt it. What's wrong with asking for 2006? How many people referred to the offer as "chump change"? Your post is very good...at generalizing.[/quote:7a236ec35e]

Hey Hockey Puck,
No problems here, just opinions. In America, we have this concept called "humor." You see in my previous post I refered to the discount as "chump change." Then in the very next post, I criticized those who refer to the discount as "chump change." See the irony? I was criticizing myself, I am a hypocrite !! Isn't that funny?.....No it's not, now that I had to explain this to you. Hey, none of us in the USA know who your Prime Minister is, but you guys are bit thick up north. (and who cares who the PM is)

But I digress. After second thought, I always thought Strat-TSN were a bit on the cheapskate side. I thought that after winning a championship in March, you can't take those both those winning credits earned and move them into the next season. Why not, I have no interest in old cards, when the new ones come out. But as for the special discount, I agree that is should be just for this season. Why? Because we can purchase as much as we want before March 3. All you can eat? Very generous, only made financially possible by limiting them to 05.

But I got over it (championship credits) fast. Why? Because I'm rich. Let me check my wallet...60 dollars (=258 canadian pesos), yep I'm rich. I don't care about the pricing, the discounts, the rules. I just want to play my favorite childhood game, Stat-O-Matic. Being an adult, I don't got the time (yet the time to talk you?) to play dice Strat, and it such a pleasure that for 15 minutes a day, I can play 3 games a day in an organized league with 11 other people who like baseball. Brilliant! I say take that discount, and put it into research and development, so we can improve this already awesome game. (starting with HAL/Tony Larussas bullpen)

Customer for Life,

Up here in Canada we believe it's disrespectful to call someone "hockey puck". We also have a thing called humour too, and in Canada we have this concept of spelling it "humour".

I may have caught the humour if I had read that you mentioned "chump change" in the earlier post. See, I was addressing what you said in one post. I didn't bother to read who wrote the post above the one I was actually addressing. Forgive me for focusing on the post that I was addressing. :(

I love playing this game too. And I don't know what you mean about the Prime Minister :?: :?
