Xtreme smallball

Postby KURTTHOMPSON » Wed Mar 01, 2006 6:11 pm

Ive played smallball before but this is by far the most xtreme.
Home park the Stick, div. foes 2 griffiths and comisky 59. Lots of pitcher parks in league. Can I win with this offense and whats the best way to bat these misfits?

Im thinking:

Snodgrass
Rose
Rice
Luderus
Fox
Gardner
Roseboro/Taylor
Crossetti

really that pitching is overkill. I'd drop Schultz and his horrible hold rating in an instant for someone on the cheap like Taylor, fosnow, McEany, Worrell, someone under 2 mil and reinvest that in some offense. but because you ahve some good values, I'd look to improve at one of your 2 blackholes, Ss or C. Especially with Trammel and O Smith out there!

If you're not trying some extreme pitching experiment, definitely downgrade your BP. Dump Schultz and Fryman for a richert/Martinez/staley and a Hall/Wyatt/Miller type combo and you could really improve your offense, especially at SS and C, and get a better CF by dumping Gardner and moving rose to 3B.

Just my €0.02

I think you can compete with what you have. I'd switch Fox and Rose in your line-up, but I ain't you.

Go with your gut.

Downgrade Lamp, Strickland and Paskert and then trade in Taylor on Gibson or Schalk (I prefer Gibson)
