1. Carded players have no service requirements. They are yours for the protecting and drafting. Non-carded players must meet service reqs.

Correct on the rest.

As for the defensive ratings, you can have three guys that are "4" rated if you want... you just have to meet those minimums.

Thanks. I guess guys can start posting their 10 protected players whenever, right? I know I need a day or two at least to look through my squad.

eligibility question.....and the point may be moot depending on who the White Sox protect.
Reb Russell pitched only for the White Sox, but he played 2 seasons as a position player for the Pirates. Would he be available to the PIrates as a SP?

I knew that question would come up eventually. It seems ok to me. We let the Babe play for the Red Sox even though he was primarily (although not exculsively) a pitcher in Boston.

thanks to no Giants in this season, I will have only 2 lineup spots for Kiner, Stargell, & Barry Bonds. Too bad one of them can't play 1b,..........or 2b :shock:

After reviewing your rules for this season, I have submitted the rules, the 4 Yankee rosters and a list of all players available to the Yankees under the league rules to the CFO of one of my largest clients. He is running the numbers and should have my list of 10 protects by Wednesday.

i am assuming that the draft mentioned in the rules section for this season is just the Autodraft? not a "live" draft......
So We can autodraft players who have met the requirements, PLUS two non-carded players who DO NOT meet eligibilty requirements?

Question on my 10 protected players, do I have to keep them after the draft or can I drop one or two to keep under the cap?
