But Fatty did make his 1st pick on Tuesday. Was his pick so bad it ruined his entire draft and turned him aways from strat?

No way that Fatty hasn't surfaced because of his pick. Fatty is a player, and as much a strato-holic as the rest of us here.

Yes IMB...Fatty surfacing is our best option...we need a back up plan though.

Yes YF...perhaps more time than noon is in order...but...not Monday...way too long (is that a Pterydactyl that just flew by?).

Anybody else...?

OK...the 3 hr clock is on. It shows Fatty needs to make his pick yesterday though (the clock took up at the point that Fatty's turn began). So YF...ignore what the clock says...it's your pick at 10am EST.

Hopefully Fatty surfaces...

I remember one of my very first Strat drafts as an expansion team in a well established league back in 1980-81. First pick in the draft... Miguel Dilone. I spent the next 15 years in that same league trying to live that pick down. What the guys never seemed to remember was that my second round pick was Rickey Henderson. I also went on to be tied for most Championships during the life of the league. Tim Raines would not be my first pick, but it sure beats Miguel Dilone.

I don't have any idea if Penn's sight would allow this to happen, but my suggestion would be to have the most expensive player on the board be the automatic selection when situations like this occur. In this case, Fatty would get Hershiser ( a very good pick) and the draft move on.

As a future tweek to Penn's sight, if one could set the proxys to categories such as; Most Expensive Pitcher, Most Expensive Hitter, Most Expensive Player, Most Expensive CF, Best Fielding 2B, Most Expensive RP, .... that would be kinda cool.

Tough call.

I don't think at this point Jimmy, you can remove Fatty from the draft to insert another manager. I think it would affect the draft order. If another manager IS needed he would have to tell YOU his picks and you insert them...I think.

Hey IMB,

you stole Fenway from me in the EPIC draft, so I don't want you making any more decisions that affect me

My only thing about setting up with the most expensive player being automatically assigned is, it would take that player and give it to a manager that has neglected his obligation to the league to pick on time, thus rewarding him for not being timely in his pick. What if Orel was my next pick, and gets automatically assigned to a guy that didn't want him? Might as well do an autodraft.

I don't know what the answer is because I've never been in a league with Fatty, so don't know his schedule, etc.

At this point, only 2 rounds in, we could restart the draft if we had to, plugging ne manager into Fatty's spot --- other than that I don't know how you could do it. I think it would be fair if the new manager kept Fatty's first pick, so that all other managers can keep theirs.

I have no problem giving it a few days to see if he surfaces ... sometimes life actually does exist outside strato ... or so I've heard

Sean made some great points...

I have no problem opening USMC2 and redrafting the exact same picks with a new manager (the new manager gets the 2nd pick and Raines). I need input from you guys:

1. We recruit a new manager starting today at noon.

2. We give Fatty until 5pm Today.

Either way...we get something going today. Sorry Fatty...I hope you are OK man.

Managers...Please vote on either #1 or #2...thanks.
