Loyalty Discount: HALF OFF all new teams this week

Postby glennglenn » Thu Mar 02, 2006 6:34 pm

I think Bernie's motives have been good and above board at all times. He has worked hard to make a better product and keep us happy- which can't be easy. If offering 1 discounted 2006 game per customer is untenable financially then that is reason enough not to offer it. I personally do appreciate the gesture that's been made- but won't take advantage of it since I have 2005 credits coming and will just transfer 1 over to 2006... let's just hope 2006 comes soon and we can all rejoice in that rather than haggling over this stuff....

The "unlimited" discount is very fair. Some people just won't be happy until Jessica Alba is thrown into the solution. And when you do talk to Jessica about being a solution to the problem, remember i said that the discount was "fair," not that i was happy :!:

Cable companies & Phone companies now have competition, cable phones, direct tv etc. TSN-Strat offers a unique product. If I don't play Strat, what I am going to do, play ABBA or whoever those other guys are? Let's be realistic. I think the 5 pack is a sucker bet, with the new game around the corner, but the to chose the 1 pack in order to pass time awaiting the new season, is a cool deal.

Turd Ferguson :!:

[quote:3fe095e3b5="wockenfuss"]Actually, cable companies WILL give you a pro rata discount for service interruption (other than as a result of weather) if you ask.

On Long Island, I've gotten a free month or two when they have a software glitch and my "on demand" service didn't work for a few days. I complained (I was cranky then), got a supervisor on the phone, got a pro rata discount for missed days on the service and 2 months free.

So, I disagree. Like nearly everything in this generation, you get BUBKUS unless you ask for something. Generally, these transactions are small and service providers trust that ordinary people won't take the time to make a stink. I wouldn't have made a stink with LARGE CABLECO unless my internet service wasn't adversely affected (HORRORS!).

Not that this is germane to the current subject. TSN has stated that insofar as 2006 is concerned, the answer is BUBKUS in any event (except of you have no credits left, buy one and port it over to 2006.....I think).

Cheers :)[/quote:3fe095e3b5]

bash.

Postby JimKomurek » Thu Mar 02, 2006 8:01 pm

I bash because it makes my empty life more meaningful. Or probably to solicit a strong response. If the strong response is not returned, then it just dies. Sort of ignore it and will go away. And away I go !

Come on people, Loyalty League, all set up, play ball !!!

[quote:eadd65c185="1crazycanuk"]That's fine. I don't know why you found it necessary to bash Canadians but oh well. You can spell words the way you want and so will we. Just...please explain to me why people think we say aboot? I say "about" not "a boot". :?[/quote:eadd65c185]

As someone who complained about last weekend's events I believe it is only fair that I thank Bernie, staff and TSN for their professional and generous gesture.

I really hope that my 2nd strat team does better than my first!

Bernie, like I said before I think the discount is a nice idea. But am wondering if it is a possibility to be able to transfer credits from '05 to '06?

I believe they have already said they will continue their policy of allowing you to transfer one of your credits to 2006.

As for the assertion made by JimKomurek that TSN has a monopoly on simulated baseball games, that's just not true. I believe Stats, Inc., has a game, and so does MLB.com, and there's another site that is coming along soon that will offer a historic simulation game. There is plenty of competition for the simulated baseball dollar, which is why TSN puts so much resources into making SOM the best.
