In favor of drop/pickup 0 votes
opposed 0 votes[/quote:1a2c301be8]

Before I vote, what exactly is the issue? Does klx22 not have enough starting pitchers to fulfill the roster requirements for TSN/SOM? Otherwise, I'm not sure why we would be permitted to exchange players after the draft.[/quote:1a2c301be8]

The issue is as follows; the guide book lists albers as a starter&reliever, I drafted him to start for me this season. TSN only has him as a reliever therefore he can not start for me. Where I do have pitchers that can start for me there cards suck this year & will not be starting for me. This mistake is not my fault nor could I have known about it. Honestly, there is no need to to make a mountain out of a molehill. This does not give me any kind of unfair advantage.

Keith - the game was open when we were drafting. Everybody except you seems to have known about Albers...

In fact, TSN has a history of giving only the R rating to SPs with very few starts, so it always pays to double check the TSN cards & not go just by ratings books...

[quote:6f1c7e983b="qksilver"]I tend to agree. I'm sympathetic to the issue, but if Keith has enough SPs to run a season, I think he needs to live with Albers as an RP.

I counted 6 SPs on his squad prior to the draft, so unless via trade he got himself under the minumum of 5, I'd say let it ride.[/quote:6f1c7e983b]

On the contrary, If I would have been dumb enough not to have enough starting pitchers or traded away starters, that would have been something Id done knowingly & wouldnt have deserve any kind of special exception.

As far as the history goes, I have not been playing strat yet for a full year, so anything that may have taken place in the past I would not be aware of. Please stop fighting me on this & try to put yourself in my shoes.

the cards were there to look at? why werent u scouting cards when we were picking. The main reason why i took galaraga b/c i saw the gave him s/r on his card.

Maybe u should let the league pick ur SP or drop a prospect pick or something?

we do feel bad, but in the middle of the season someone else might want to do the same thing.

There were 2 players this happened to which niners mentioned above; giese & albers. Those are the only two that should be allowed & not in the middle of a season, but b4 it starts. I didnt know what a ratings book was until December & thought if a pitcher had a decent amount of innings it was a reliable source. I will respectfully wait until a complete vote is conducted b4 I say what I really feel like saying here, but I have to admit Im dumbfounded that anyone, let alone 4 of you would have a problem with this!

Honestly no one had ever told me that the ratings book sometimes had players @ positions that there were not available in. I didnt look @ the cards until I was adjusting my roster this morning.

Keith - I gotta admit that I'm not sure why you would even be asking this. I can understand that maybe you made an honest mistake in drafting Albers, but I cannot understand why you wouldn't even have Beckett or Vazquez in your rotation ahead of Albers (or Mock, for that matter). I really don't care that much whether you have Albers or Mock, but there really is no excuse for not being aware of this, as we had the ability to look at the cards well ahead of time. Given that you have three other potential starters (Beckett, Vazquez, and Marshall), I gotta vote no on this. Sorry.

Both Watts and Smitty need to repick in the prospect draft:

Dexter Fowler had MLB at bats last season, and is not a prospect.
Trevor Cahilll taken by Hawk at top of Round 2.
