Now what's wrong with this site? I can't start a new post...the submit button disappeared. I'm surprised it was still there for me to answer on this post.

Drop Penalty

Postby KEVINSMITH 2 » Fri Mar 03, 2006 10:05 am

You mean I could possibly be able to drop "losers" in the middle of the season and "rebuild" somewhat without a penalty at all, or possibly just 10%? I'm in HEAVEN :) That would really be interesting and different.

That's funny, you've reminded me several dozen times that YOU started the Tour. I see you're speaking not only for everyone here but for TSN now too, that's just great. Yessiree, you're a mighty important man you are.

Meanwhile I think the idea about the drop penalty option is great. Trading is very, very difficult in this format, having the chance to "trade" with the FA list could be very appealing.

Could be abused, of course, might want to know who you're playing with in a private league.

The more options we have, the better. Whether we all are interested in using the options or not. There'll still always be good old "Classic Strat" in the autoleagues.

Maybe instead of the 20% penalty.....there should be a rule where if u drop a player...the player/players you pick up have to stay on your roster for a certain amount of games...........

that way people wont just be dropping and picking guys up left and right.....

Bernie,

There has to be some penalty, otherwise managers would just trade with the FA every series depending on who you are playing. A scale down system with 5% for first 21 games, 10% for the next 21, 15% next 21 , then 20% after so many games. or just a flat 10%. There will be too much movement with no penalty, or player is locked on your team for a certain lenght of time. Think about it. Any comments?
