So when we say division order than this would be the order? Also, I agree that it should be serpentine.

Interesting factoid from our draft:
When Mr. Baseball World was awarded Jack Chesbro, we surpassed the $1 billion mark in total player value. Yup. $1 billion.

To put it another way, a normal $80M league with every penny used would have $960 million worth of players. So, we are fast approaching the value of a full $100M league - particularly with 135 players on teams right now, which leaves 165 players STILL to come...

Spreadsheet is updated with MORE new info.

I have added two new columns to the Overall Auction page: Date of first bid and Date awarded.
I was curious about how long some guys were on the block and when we started this thing... well....

Some interesting tidbits:
First five players were nominated on January 10. Today is April 6. Almost 3 whole months into this.
On Feb. 10 (after one month), there had been 61 players bought.
On Mar. 10 (after two months), there had been 105 players bought (44 in that 2nd month).
On Apr. 6 (today), there have been 140 players bought (35 since Mar. 10).

We are definitely slowing down - with the 100k incremental bidding, we're seeing guys on the market longer (e.g., Colavito for NINE days to get to $5.7).

Later!

interesting lineup

Postby dlarkins » Thu Apr 09, 2009 12:52 pm

once I caught on to low bids and no need for scrubs it got more fun

decent everyday lineup except for third and dh
maybe some 3-5 mil guys will be upgrades in draft i still have 2 hitters left

i will need 50 hrs from darrell evans and murcer combined to have competitive offense

real test will be how 4.5sp to be gotten in draft phase will compete against top line starters rest of league has

i woiuld love to have back my 8.3spent on mcginnity

any interest in another parallel version of this let me know i enjoyed this a lot and it is easy on the wallet.

I'd love to do a Winter version of this, but I don't want to have two auctions running at the same time.

Since I'm only set at 2b-SS-CF and Ruth as a corner OF, I'll be filling in with cheapies.

Amazing job Bill I love Stats and those are very interesting. The only reason I want bidding faster is because I haven't added a player in so long.
Hopefully patience pays off!
