Need to know. Does the Twins include the Washington Senators DB/Pre and Post. Does Baltimore include the St. Louis Browns? Its part of what I am looking to put together for the next league.

Frank,

The baseline rule for this theme is that you have access for any player that ever played for your franchise. So anyone who had one at bat or one IP with the Browns would be available to the Orioles. Any one who ever played for the Senators is available to the Twins. (But a player who played for the second version of the Senators that moved to Texas is not available to the Twins.)

Your rule can adjust this baseline rule in any way, except you can't make a rule that allows a team to carry a player that never appeared with that franchise. The ground rules are summarized at the start of the Archives thread which I'll bump so it's easier to find. You can find rules from previous seasons there too.

OK, may as well get some rules for the next league started.

2 Studs, 2 Duds in the starting rotation. 4 man rotation to be used.
Your 2 Duds have to be under $3MM.

You can protect up to 8 players from your roster.

Any park from your Franchises teams.

Player Requirements: Batters at least 1 AB and Pitchers 1 IP.

Roster Requirements: 15 Carded Players from your Franchise at all times.

I have two clarification questions:

1. Is there any price requirement for the "2 studs"?

2. Are the "protected players" protected throughout or only until the waiver period? Basically, if I protect a player, do I have to put him on my draft card in order to keep him?

#1. Your 2 Studs are your 2 Highest Priced SPs on your teams. They can be either on your roster and be protected or could have played on your franchise and you placed them on your draft list.

#2. Protected players are Pre-Waivers. If you leave them off your draft list and are FAs they can be picked up.

Divisions

We still need to be assigned to divisions. Please make a rule for this, too.
