It's actually been 8 picks in almost 3 1/2 days, but who's counting?
Seriously guys, let's impose a limit. When the limit is reached the next team is allowed to pick and the draft just continues from there. At any time, the team that has been skipped can jump back in and make their pick.
I really understand that people are busy. I really do. But you have the ability to give Paul your email address, get a text message, or give proxies to Paul to protect you against being skipped if you know you might have trouble making your selection on time. There really shouldn't be any excuse.
And let's face it, it's not the end of the world if you get skipped. You're not LOSING your pick.
Ok, so I propose that 9AM to 10 PM EST should be the OFFICIAL draftable time frames. Everybody is encouraged to also make picks outside the time frame if you're able. But this is the time frame where the time limit will count.
I propose a 6 hour time limit (within the time frame) from the time the previous pick has been made.
For example, if team A makes a pick at 12 noon, team B has until 6 PM that day to make their pick before being "skipable".
But let's say a pick is made at 9PM? Ok, 6 hours within the time frame would make the deadline 2PM the next day (1 hour the night before and 5 hours from the beginning of the next day).
What do you think?
8 picks in 3 1/2 days is ridiculous. I keep taking the time to check back...and nothing has happened! Why is that fair?
