Ouch! Can't help it if my Red Sox players reverted back to the pre-04 Red Sox teams.

Sorry John. I said that and my team immediately started to tank. In my case, however, it seems to be a result of managerial ineffectiveness.

4th overall

But just barely hanging on in a couple of playoff spots.

The 80,s- we worked our butts off to scrap and fight to the top, shuffling thru every player on both rosters, just to get to the top and the injury bug pops up and takes out my 2 best hitters. Hopefully it won't bite us in a big way again. Fred and Keyzick are both breathing down our necks.

The 70,s- Doc seems to have this division locked up at this point but here's Keyzick and me fighting it out for the wildcard with only a 5 game lead over KLX,s and Randy,s team's respectfully.
I don't know if my pitching can keep me in this race but I do have a potent enough offense to keep me in it - I think.

The other 3 leagues are uneventful as they are just treading water long enough to get to seasons end. But I'll continue to try and squeak out as many wins as I can to help in the overall standings.....

It,s not too late to pick up that CF in the 69 league (Flood a 1 and Monday a 2 with some offense) and am just looking for a SP of equal value......anybody??? :)

But it's been a fun set of leagues as probably most of you know, it's the first leagues I check on in the morning,s.

Good luck the rest of the way to everybody
and may I say, it's quiet an accomplishment to win the first FATY and come back and do such a very good job the next time around Fred, so I tip my Red Sox cap to you now Fred.

Slug out.

Just noticed the 86 league is wide open for a wildcard team too. Keyzick has it for now but there are 5 teams I,d say that is in contention for that spot. SURPRISE. I don,t think we have what it takes but you just never know.
Did I ever tell you the story of making up 10 games in a league with just 21 games left? Yep. 10 games out with 21 left to play. The guy made a bad SP pickup at the end of the free agent deadline and the pitcher was terrible. And we got hot and tied for the divisional lead with my boys winning the tie-breaker.........That was a fun finish.

The only sure-thing for me is my 08 team...they sure won't make the playoffs!

I seem to be battling for my playoff life in the other 4...mainly with Crossingroads. So I could have 4 of 5 in the playoffs or 0 of 5....I'd settle for at least a couple though!!
