Matlack needs an opening bid

Palanion - you need to offer a bid on Matlack if you want to nominate him. Thanks!

.7 is the minimum for Matlack, we can probably start there.

I agree on the 0.7, but Palanion needs to make that bid - this is the only thing that prevents throwing out "fringe" players when we get close to the end here. Anyone who nominates someone has the risk of getting them at the opening figure. So you have to nominate players you are willing to take.

Not saying Palanion is doing anything uncouth - will just be important to keep this practice as we go forward.

I was under the impression from the rules at the outset (check the Web site), that we did not have to make an opening bid.

If we do, then I go back to making a stink about moving down the list when someone runs out of players. I did not want to nominate a player, but since Mr.BBW now has 10 pitchers, I'm forced to nominate someone, but since I do not want to nominate a pitcher, I nominated one I did not want.

How long do we wait for no bids before another pitcher is nominated and we do it again? 24 hours?

Please don't take it personally, it's just you that fell into this situation. We could be bidding on 4 players until someone else wants to bid on a pitcher you don't want, and if this is the method we use, eventually maybe only 3, with 2 nominations being unbid as we get closer to filling rosters.
