when I first saw your request to do a trade I thought Rains would somehow be involved.
Still a good trade for you. You traded Whitaker for Murphy, sort of.
I was hoping you would take 1B so I could take Murphy. AS is, I will have to wait and see what happens in your round before I make my determination for the position in my round because there is so much overlap between the OF positions. Suffice it to say it is most likely going to be an OF or 1B so whoever has round 7, if you want to call SP or RP, go ahead.

I thought of it! Adam's thought of Sandberg, Raines and Guerrero. Pretty tough team.

is that why you didn't want there to be any trading?

I've never had luck with Pedro or Ryan. I do like Raines though. Still it all comes down to the card and the roll.

It was simple for me

There were lots of great picks I could have taken with my first in Round 5.

But I have already built teams around all those guys.

On all my teams, I have never had Sweet Lou, I am pretty sure I will get a bad year out him, that's the way trades seem to work for me, but I wanted to do a different team than he one I try to do evey time.

Now let's see how the cookies crumble.

Remember, in the end, we have to put together a valid 25 man TSN roster, then let HAL determine our fate.

I was honestly afraid that this draft would take forever if everybody started trying to trade pre-draft.

My plan from the beginning was to just take the best person I could each round and deal with positions at the end. I usually start one .75 guy anyway-and as soon as I saw that I would have a cheap pitching staff...

Not sure if Pedro over Boggs and Molitor was the right move but he is a BEAST. Boggs and Molitor can actually catch the ball, though. With Rains, it looks like Guerrero is playing 3B after all.

I actually am not that big a fan of Sandberg either but he beats a 7th pick SS.

I agree with Adam about keeping the draft moving, thats why I put an hour time limit on it. Usually, you will not be waiting for me.
I do like drafts, it adds a lot to the game. And with the 80's format, you can stay active with your team. all together you might get a month of entertainment for your $12.50. The other games are pick a team and thats it. You're only managing SP and batting order after that.
I like this format, to bad we can't use Penns site somehow, so we could put time limits and it could keep track of money spent.

Sorry for the delay, guys. I guess this is why an on-line draft can take so long - seemed like there was no movement while I was watching the computer in the afternoon, then when I step away it starts hoppin'.
