This Shortstop (normally an excellent defensive player) missed a routine double play ground ball that cost the game, and many think that particular world series.

The reporters pestered this SS after the game and repeatedly asked him what happened on the play.

Finally sick of the non-stop confrontations, he answered:

"The sun got in my eyes"

(It had been a gray dark overcast day the entire day with no sun)
