Spring of 69 - DRAFT COMPLETE - LEAGUE LOADING E to W

Our historical single season sets

Postby LMBombers » Tue May 05, 2009 3:02 pm

Just an FYI.....I will be out of town next week from mid-morning Mon thru Thursday night late without a computer unless I get lucky and the hotel has a computer for the guests. We need to finish up this draft before then if we can.

I agree we should finish up asap. Hopefully can still make a lot of hay this week and weekend. We have been moving pretty well overall.

If not can you proxy your final picks by cellular by chance (text?)? I am doing that with Risden this Fri/Sat. Hopefully just the last couple.

I'm going out for a couple of hours. When I get back I'll let you know who is pictured above if you haven't guessed it already.

Roster Clarification

Postby GordieHowe » Tue May 05, 2009 6:03 pm

Is there a minimum number of players who must be on your roster?
Is there a minimum number of batters or pitchers?
I assume the maximum number of batters is 17, how about pitchers?
Could you have 13 pitchers with 14 batters?
Are we stopping at 23 players and a stadium, or doing free agent pick ups after that?
I understand that your roster must stay under the $100m cap.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I assume the roster limits simply follow the TSN/SOM rules for the 1969 game which are:

At all times, you must have at least 24 players and no more than 28 players on your roster.
You must have at least 13 and no more than 17 hitters. At least two of those hitters must be eligible to play catcher.
You must have at least 9 and no more than 12 pitchers.
You must have at least 5 pitchers who have starting pitcher Endurance ratings (for example: S7).
You must have at least 4 pitchers who have relief pitcher Endurance ratings (for example: R2).

This was meant as a hint. That is Ron Fairly in the photo.

OK, I'm done with the who is it game.

LMB is correct regarding roster rules. We are drafting 24 picks (23 players and a stadium). You will select 25 players when you set up your team and join the league (the 23 you drafted plus 2 more - we compete for the last two).

Hope that helps.

Fairly hit a couple dingers against the Twins in the '65 series.
