Well, it was hard watching Japan beat USA on ESPN last night. Actually, it was hard LISTENING to Steve Phillips, Joe Morgan, and Jon Miller tell us inning-after-inning how the USA didn't put their best players on the roster, and that the manager and players were not trying their hardest to win. They said that many of the players (and their employers) were focused on a "World Championship" (i.e. MLB World Series), and not this "exhibition." Then they said that the people who came to the games to root for the USA were essentially being snookered by sub-par roster and effort. Inning after inning, I felt [i:0201120990]used[/i:0201120990]. :?
Coincidentally, Team World (Japan, Korea, and friends) are now coming on strong in our simulated WBC.
