jsam...check out the first post on page 1. Those are the basic rules. You'd be coming along at a good time. That team had a great record last year and has great keepers. With the exception of a few players, the basis of the team already exists and all you'd need to do fill ins via the autodraft.
Then next year you'll need to figure out who your keepers are etc.
If you want the team, it's yours and you'd need to load the roster in the West (one team is needed to get going).
We can give you the tutorial on keepers etc as the season goes along.
The list of players protected is posted on two separate posts (pitchers and hitters). Then you can see the draft rounds that we completed. It's not going to easy, but you then need to figure out who hasn't been taken or protected to fill out your team.
If you make a mistake and accidentally pick somebody that was protected, no big deal. You'll just have to return him to that team. Trust me, I'm sure that's going to happen to some of us too.
