2 1/2 Team Theme League Draft in progress

Yes, Delbird you are up per the commish last post. So pick a half team from the remaing teams.

Cubs, as you will notice in my posts I said I was okay with last night or 2nite and the commish (not me) decided to use 2nites lottery, I did not know my number nor did I decide which day to use. So honestly I do not see the issue, we had to pick a day whether it was yesterday's lotto, todays or tomorrow.....nobody had an advantage bc we all had the same states so we couldnt change them to get a better drawing.
The reason I want to proceed is no.1 the commish said so, no.2 busy weekend, so might as well start it up now and leave a week for pre-season trades bc that is always fun!

We will use Saturday lottery numbers for round 3 draft order... Sorry to the topo draft guys, but it is really only fair.. not perfect, but more fair..

mfl536..I am assigning you Oklahoma as your lottery state, they have pick 3 - we will not truncate the MASS number... in the next round

Okay, so if I complain will you reverse again? I am uncomfortable that a couple people were pissed about their order and you changed the entire lottery until tomorrow. He would have had the last pick whether he knew it or not before he made his last pick so what is the difference? Why are we changing it for one person? :shock:
Read Delbird's post, this is round 3 not a different draft so why wouldn't we have the lottery order ready to go so we just continue into round 3?

If I am pick no. 9 or worse like Cubs and Klx22 tomorrow night, I am going to ask that we switch it to Sunday;s lottery....this is BS.

were not doing this to accommodate one person... I am changing it because it is the right thing to do... You should never allow the draft order be detrmined by the timing of selections of a previous round.. I made a mistake in retrospect, I did not anticipate this problem until KLX22 brought it to my attention.. I am glad everyone seems to be cooperating to keep the draft moving along..

If anyone is so upset by this decision they want out of the league.. that's fine.. let us know and we will find a replacement.. otherwise.. we will post Saturdays lottery numbers and move on with round 3...

I already anticipate some being upset with what they end up with in round 3, but I don't know a better way to distribute the 1/2 teams.. I am open to suggestions for a future iteration of this league format.. for now let's draft

Yeah, no midnight deadline....should just have been the order no matter when the last pick was made.

I would have picked 3rd so I should be one to complain but I agree we should have waited to the round was done 1 day will not matter and to be honest with you if I would have been klx and seen that I had the last pick for the half team if I picked before midnight I would have gone to bed and not finished the 2nd round until morning

Okay, maybe this third round redrafting is not the fairest thing, and now that we are changing things mid-flight why don't we scrap the lottery and make it based on combined team salary instead of random? Franchise with the highest total salary of their top 25 players (by top I mean high salary) gets the last pick and lowest total salary of top 25 players gets the first pick? This allows the team with the lowest salary (roughly translates to worst players) gets the first pick. Just a thought to make it more fair and balance out the league slightly..........
