Ebbets157 grabs a 3-2 lead over MoodyWoody by winning 7-4 supported by 2 Cal Ripken homers. DeLeon beats Saberhagen.

The battle moves back to Royals Stadium where Ebbets Bruce Hurst (11-12, 3.81) tries to clinch the series over Moody's Bud Black (7-4. 3.89).

Ebbets is one step away from the Final 12. Can he do it on enemy turf?)

Stay tuned for the result early Monday am!

Well, I must say that this league has ended up being one of the most enjoyable I have ever played in (And many thanks to Chess for the great game by game updates! Thanks!). At the end of the first two leagues, I was in like 32nd place in the standings, and both my next 70's and 80's teams (This one) got off to like 6-15 starts, both of them.

We battled back from being 10+ games down in the 80's to win the division, went down 2 game to none at home in the LCS and won in 5, and now, this epic battle, won in extra innings after a thrilling comeback. Soto goes all 11 innings for the win. WOW! This is what this game is all about. AND, it gets in into the final twelve.....WOW.....

What a great game and great series, especially going H2H with the defending champ Moody. Here is the game 7 box:

My apologies to whomever I knocked out of the final spot in the top 12, having my last two teams win titles was unexpected (especially in the 80's, which I have stunk at), and I did not think I had a prayer of making the final 12.

Ggrover twisted my arm and I reluctantly joined this tournament, as it is a pleasure to compete against the best of the best.

Now, you are probably wondering that I am voting for. Honestly, as long as it is a live draft (16 Rds or 25, I am of with either) I don’t care. Just no auto drafting. We have all made it this far and I think we should not leave it to Hal to decide our teams.

I do have a question. It looks like the Live drafting decision has already been made, but I want to be sure of that. I do not want to vote for the 70’s if it would be an auto draft. If that is not the case, and it will be a live draft no matter what, then I will vote for the 70’s, and leave the decision for the FL lottery this evening (Tuesday). I am a 20+ year resident of Las Vegas and would prefer that that decision not be made by me……

Thanks again to all. Very much looking forward to competing in the top 12….

Congrats Ebbets on the thrilling comeback. You knocked me out of the top 12, but I blame my own teams' collapses down the stretch in my last two leagues. Good luck to the top 12.

Nice job, Ebbets, on winning the title. You had a sweet team that played well in the clutch. My team had aspirations toward greatness, but alas, they'll have to settle for just being a very good team.

Sorry, Yellow Dog, that you didn't make it to the final 12. We gave it our best, but it wasn't good enough. (An error by Ripken to lead off the ninth inning  ) Ok, Ok, enough of that. Anyway, it would have been nice to have you play with us.

I think I have the tiebreaker for the #4 pick. Just where I want to be -- between Jablowni and Great Unwashed -- I'm sure all the players I want will be left by those guys.
