This is going to be fun, now I can root for my players, as their batting tears and complete game gems add to their cards for next year. And I can take secret joy when Longoria is traded to the Yankees to fill in when A-Rod is not available, and when Albert decides that he has mastered the physical world and gives up baseball to meditate at the foot of the Himilayas!

Yeah, this should be fun. It's an added dimension to consider the age of the player, potential off field problems etc. when choosing players. You gotta wonder if the guy you're picking is gonna get a 50 game suspension soon for 'roids. Picking prospects etc. I was a little bummed to get the last pick in the first round, but having 2 together like that could be interesting...

When we start the clock (Round 2 to the end), it will be from 10 am to 10 pm, with each team having a maximum of 3 hours to pick. I put it in the rules, based on what other leagues do, that there's no clock on the weekends, (the clock stops Friday at 10 PM, and resumes Monday at 10 AM), but I personally don't like that rule cause things really can start to drag. Hopefully, everyone will master proxies to keep things moving then.

I would be in favor of keeping clock on for weekends, maybe for a smaller time if possible (12-8 eastern time)

why don't we just keep the clock going through the weekends then? I would think some of us would have more time on the weekends to deal with this stuff than on workdays.

Surely none of you are stealing productive work hours from your organization to play strat. Right? ;)

Got my #3 priority for the #11 pick, I feel lucky (although after Albert, the next 6 were pretty close. I know Sizemore is not hitting very well in '09, but he's already a star with multiple skills and he's only 24.

I think I accidentally hit drop after picking J. Santana, but whoever can clean it up if need be I do want him. My 12 and 13 picks were J. Rollins and J. Santana
