Calling Original USKL (Bubba Hotep= MikeJ)

[quote:615d2a5d99]Then how about cut and pasting the list so we all have it.[/quote:615d2a5d99]

NP -- If I had typed it out in a file I would be happy to -- but unfortuantely it lies on Legal Pads which are still back in Austin where they have been since I did it months ago and then gave up on this league after there seemed to be no interest.

Truth be told, I am gung-ho about getting it up again, but as I have said repeatedly I am swamped with work right now -- working until 8 PM each nite and dealing with a whole that wants 10 dollars a nite for broadband.

If someone else would like to get us back on Penn's site and all then all power to them. And as I said yesterday, if you want to bypass doing another 2005 season then that's fine with me too.

BUT, I will NOT continue withOUT us doing this 3 round supplemental draft that we are attempting to do right now and are still stuck on one pick ...

Gotta run, ... I'll check back later.

Has anyone contacted Penn to get our initial draft added back into the website?

I just sent Penn a private message about reloading our old draft back onto the website.

One problem with using the MLB list is that many of those players aren't carded by TSN. For example, I see Ryan Howard on the keeper rosters, but I don't think he was carded (and therefore shouldn't be drafted). In the USKL2, Penn was able to reinstate the previous draft pretty easily, and the draft administrator just replaced cut players with new draftees.

Ryan Howard et al

Postby Ninersphan » Wed Mar 08, 2006 2:42 pm

Here's the deal with Ryan, when we started this last year it was before the cards came out and our only reference for players was Strat's disk which penn imported onto his site. Now Howard DID have a card for Strat last year and therefore was included on penn's site, BUT because he had only 39 ab's, he did not show up in TSN's game.

It was decided that if the player did have a card [b:b128fce5f5]at all[/b:b128fce5f5] ( that is if he was in the 2004 ratings book or on the disk) that he could be drafted even if he did not show up in TSN's version of the game.

Howard, therefore is a legal pick and okay to be on someones roster.

I myself took Johny Peralta under much the same circumstances.

Questions?

No.

I believe you said it.

If they had a SOM card (not necessarily a TSN card) they were/are eligible to be drafted.

If they didn't, they weren't/aren't.

[quote:17f035aeb9="sandlotshrink"]Sorry I can't help out more guys by compiling a list of who's available from the 2005 set et al, but I still am out on the road for 5 more weeks and I don't get back to my hotel room until about 8 PM each nite and THIS week they are gouging me 10 dollars a nite for broadband.

Thanks for understanding the reason for the 3 round draft being conducted.

If the majority does NOT want to do another 2005 season after this then we could proceed right into our 2006 pre-season draft, but out of fairness to the stinky teams we needed to conduct this supplemental draft first.[/quote:17f035aeb9]

As just about the stinkiest of the stinkies, I appreciate it!

I've got a reply back from Penn about getting the league reinstated. He said he doesn't delete any league, and said he turned ours back on but I can't see it. Can anyone else?

I wonder if the fact that our league had players without pricing makes bringing it back a problem. I'm checking with Penn. Anyone else who wants to jump in is more than welcome, as I might not have all the information Penn needs to get this league up again.
