Nice job chuckster. I am bitter that I missed out but wish you all the luck in the playoffs!

I will be looking to improve for season 2. Give me a holler if interested in Duchscherer or Chris Davis.

SHOCKED this team of mine made the playoffs as I LOATHE it. If I could blow it up and start from scratch I would in a second. Shows what I know I guess.

Yeah, talking about what do we know, I was shocked this high-end team (in terms of preseason roster value) turned out such a mediocre performance.

Really I think in another div we might have put up 95 wins. AFD put together a great team, all props to him, FD was more competitive than expected, but honestly I have no clue how my offense only scored 806 runs. I projected something close to 875-900. I had so many offensive performances that were SO far from their cards. Try these on:

Longoria .734 OPS (real life .874)
Hamilton .756 OPS (real life .901)
C Davis .668 OPS (real life .880)
Hardy .705 OPS (real life .821)

And this in a hitter home park, with guys playing towards platoon cards mostly! I mean, I usually expect a 5% surpression of real-life hitter stats, but not 10 or 15%.

Anyway, hope the div realignment puts me in the playoffs next time around...

3-1 Niners leading AF Dickie so far. Can he close it out tonight?

When series is over I'll send out updated rosters. In the meantime here's a refresher on the supp draft and season 2.

[quote:ae7c66ce44]5. Between Season One and Season Two of a carded year there will be a 3 Round Supplemental Draft in which any available player left over from the Free Agent Draft at the start of the year is eligible to be now taken. Before entering the Supplemental Draft, a team must drop as many players that it wishes to redraft (up to 3) prior to the start of the Supplemental Draft, and these players are eligible then to be drafted as well.[/quote:ae7c66ce44]

[quote:ae7c66ce44]6. After our first season of play in a given year, the Divisions will be realigned for the following season (AND the ORDER OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL DRAFT) based on the Win/Loss pct. of the prior season. Any ties will be broken by; 1. Head to Head results and if need be; 2. Greatest positive RS-RA differential. The league will be formed such that the EAST will be teams 1-4, the CENTRAL 5-8 and the WEST 9-12.[/quote:ae7c66ce44]

Draft order for the supplemental round is,

1 Bubba Hotep 66
2 kaviksdad 68
3 Cubit 72
4 nythawk 73
5 qksilver 82
6 fowldawg 82 won series over qksilver 13-11
7 Stoney18 83
8 akindian 84
9 Cummings2 86
10 Detroit-Tigers 87
11 Ninersphan 88
12 AF Dickie 101

Division alignment for Season 2 is,

East Bubba Hotep
East kaviksdad
East Cubit
East nythawk

Central qksilver
Central fowldawg
Central Stoney18
Central akindian

West Cummings2
West Detroit-Tigers
West Ninersphan
West AF Dickie

Game 7 tonight

Postby Ninersphan » Mon Jun 08, 2009 7:14 am

Up 3 games to 1 I can't close it out over the last 2 nights, losing 2 1 run games 2-1 and 3-2. My offense has slowed down a little. Last night particularly frustrating as I was only able to score 2 runs on 9 hits and left 11 on base Meanwhile my SP volquez walked 8  in 6 and 2/3's.
Two aces on the bump tonight Haren for me vs Lee. I like facing the lefty, but regardless didn't want to have to go to a game 7.

Congrats AF! Congrats Niners!

Great series you two.

Lucky me I get to be in the same division with you two and D-T who has always owned me... methinks this'll be a looooooong season.
