Hmmm, results weren't good so far

1. 0-3
misses 1-3 si
fo on pitcher card
go on his card, good column, right between two hits.

2. 0-4 1 bi
go - bad column
Misses 3b on a 1, flyout
misses 1-5 single
K on pitcher card

3. 0-3
Misses 1-11 single
go on his bad column
K on pitcher card

Rough night 0-11, 1 rbi, 2k's, oh for 3 on splits. 11 rolls, only 4 on the pitcher card :( 3 of the other 7 in the 2 column. Faced two LHSPs so that didn't help.

Are you guys getting tired of this? No one else is talking so I figured what the heck, but maybe it's getting annoying now??

Played 3 one run games tonight and lost two. :( Left 14 guys on in game 3 Ouch.

Sizemore:
1. 2-3
- Straight 2b of pitcher
- Walk off Pitcher
- gets 1-13 single, but runner gets gunned at plate 1-14. :(
- misses 1-3 hit on cfx
all 4 on pitchers card

2. 1-3
- gets 1-14 2b
- misses 1-4 single
- walks
- misses bp hr 1-2 :( (eh, it's Fenway)

3. 1-4, HR!!
- walk on P card
- K on P card
- K on P Card
- OMG, gets 1-2 bp hr!!!!
- go on his card

Nightly totals. Good night for Grady. 4-10, hr, 2 2b, 2 BB. 8 of 12 rolls on pitcher card. Gets 3 of 6 rolls, although the misses were all 1-4 or less so.... (not that he's not due for a few of those)

Maybe Ali is having a positive effect on him..... ;) :P

Sorry to interrupt the Sizemore watch - It is interesting that he has so much trouble - I have heard of others who also thought he underperformed. But - We are now at 30 games to play!! Despite my +50 run differential I languish at 66-66 - winning big at home and losing by smaller margins on the road. Currently 5 games out of the wild card slot. Good news is that I hold the tie breaker against the top two wild card possibles. Bad news is that I have 5 games to make up and 12 of the remaining 30 games left to play against the lead-leading Sandbaggers. I have had to drop 2 players (DeRosa and Drew) after 15 game injuries. My bench has always been a bit thin and I just did not have enough to cover those long stretches without those starters. Neither of them played as well as I hoped anyway. Every series is key right now - I could well be out if I get swept anymore along the way.

Yeah, a team like yours will struggle on the road, but given that your "expected" is 5 better than your actual, you figure you may be a little bit low.

I hope to do another comparison to the ratings soon. Don't know when I'll get time however.

Lost in the Sizemore watch was a big run by our squad. It got us into first place, but we'll have to play better in our division than we have so far to stay there. The Chill is hanging tough much to my surprise and consternation.

Leader Board

Postby jdmercha » Thu Jun 04, 2009 6:50 am

So why is Ellsbury on the leader board with a .299 BA, but Ichiro with a .331 BA has been left off?

First I thought that Ichiro was left off because he was traded mid-season. But Ichiro was traded for Ellsbury.

Good question about Ichiro - Chipper Jones and Mauer have also been left off - they all have as many PAs as Sandoval (who is listed). Seems to be a glitch in the system somewhere.

Yeah, that is strange. :? Probably should post to the SOM page.

Ok, back to the Grady watch.

game 1 0-3, BB - misses 1-5, go on his card, Int Walk :!:, misses 1-12 HR
Game 2 2-4, 1 BI - misses 1-3 2b, settles for single (off of Pettitte!), K (P Card), misses 1-2 2b, settles for si, fo (p card)
game 3 0-3 go his card, go (p card), po (p card)

Summary 2-10, BB, BI. Only hits off of pitchers card. Rolls on P Card 6 out of 10, splits misses all 4. One roll in the three column

Totals since "the watch" began: 20-82 (.244), 58% rolls on pitcher card, 12-41 on splits (29%). You can see why he's underperforming...

18 games to go and only 1 team is more than 6 games out of that wild card spot!! One team gets hot and they are in. How about that East group? I thought Title Town would clinch with room to spare but they are being pressured from below as they tumble from the top.

yeah, it's been a very tight league. TT is struggling. Don't know if it's been injuries (he's got three guys down right now, with only 4 back ups) or bad luck or both. He had a 10 game losing streak before splitting the last 4. Before that streak, he had won four, but going back another 11 games, he'd lost 10 of 11 including 6 in a row. That's a tough stretch. Since May 29 he's 8-22!

The only thing sure right now is Fargo. I think their magic number is 4 clinch a division.

Big series tonight

Postby theClaw » Tue Jun 09, 2009 5:50 am

I need a sweep. If I get it I am still in the race. If not there could be to much ground to cover. With all the changes I made with this team it is a miracle that I am still in it.
