Once we have 12 managers we'll firm up the exact structure of each of the leagues and card sets. When everything is agreed to, PM me any dates that you'll be unavailable. I'm sure many of us have vacation time planned for the summer, so we'll get the leagues scheduled accordingly.

No need to race to get the leagues underway, but I'll try to schedule it as efficiently as possible. Like LM said, Since we'll all be committed to the 5 packs, we can stretch out the league kickoffs (or maybe condense them?) based on availability.

This is a familiar group of names so far, not too worried about the coordination.

I'll build a website to post the standings to, so we'll be able to track season progress on a single page.

Hey guys,

After reviewing the rest of my schedule for the summer, it is going to be very difficult for me to be able to be available for all of these leagues. My apologies, but I am going to have to withdraw. I am sure it will be a great time for all. My sincerest apologies.

I may be able to be a backup down the road if needed.....

League 1 - Standard, auto draft, $80mil cap

League 2 - Two Franchise, serpentine draft, $100mil cap

League 3 - Small Market, auto draft, $60mil cap

League 4 - Studs and Duds, auto draft, $80mil cap, each team must have 18 players below $2mil

League 5 - ANTI Two Franchise, same as League 2 EXCEPT, you make your first pick and then the other 11 managers vote to assign you the worst possible 2nd franchise for your pairing, same draft order used in 2nd round.


Leagues 3 and 4 are kind of similar, so any suggestions to change up league 4 to make it more unique?

***Could make league 4 an over/under league.
Hitters 4.50 mil or more plus any hitter 1 mil player.
Pitchers 4.50 mil or less only
Or whatever price range works best with this. I haven,t looked at the price list so I may be way off.

***And league 5 should be that you can,t pick the same team as league 2 if the situation arises.(just in case Rob gets the first pick in both drafts)

Here are some theme suggestions:

OFET - only One player From Each Team allowed. This can be live draft or autodraft. Live draft is more fun but can take a week or so. AD could be disastrous but challenging.

4 Half Teams - Similar to the 2 team theme but you are only drafting each team's hitters or pitchers. You would draft two of each so your final roster could come from ATL & OAK pitching and Boston & NYMets hitters for example.

NO DH league - normal autodraft league except pitchers will hit

You Bastard League - normal autodraft but after the AD runs each team will be able to take one player from another team's roster. Only one player could be taken from any one team. A player could only get "taken" once. The same player can't just go from team to team. This would have to be done prior to waivers so we would have 1½ days to get this done. I would suggest using the waivers order from 1 to 12. The team that did worst in the AD would get to steal a player first AND get first waiver's pick. All "taken" players must be dropped before or during waivers so that the new teams can pick them up after waivers run.

I'm sure that there are many other good theme ideas other than these as well.
