I'll be unavailable between 6 and 9 PM Central myself. I'm hoping we can make it around the turn before then; if not, I'll leave proxies.

Still haven't decided who I want for my first pick. It's going to be a tough slog this time around.

Sarge has picked, and so have I. Mark gets to pick twice at the first turn, and my proxies are on.

Alright I got a Top SS in a thin position and the Top C in a thin position. I can live with that, I dod not like the Defense of the 2 but that is life. SGT D

Wow! Back to me! Let me think this out....really wanted AGonzo or Rollins, they were the only two proxies I left.....much thinking to do here.....I think Mark is in the catbird's seat at the turn, frankly.....

-------------

UPDATE: I went with boring and took the most expensive guy left, Mike Fontenot....still, a 2e4 second baseman w/ N-power both ways, no gbA, doubles out the ying-yang, and a .900+ OPS is tuff to top. He can go down for 15 (and probably will!), but at least it's only a 1-injury rating.

Team will be the Bajor Deep Space Nine, by the way. I've seen exactly one episode of that version of the veritable franchise, but I thought the "Nine" was a nice touch, and -- believe it or not -- the one episode of DS9 that I saw, the Space Station members play a game of baseball against a cutthroat Vulcan team:

I remember watching the episode, which is set up like it's going to be one of those "Triumph of the Underdog" cheezefests, but actually the Vulcans blow them out, 10-1. When the DS9 guys manage to squeeze a run across with two out in the 9th, it's a huge symbolic triumph for them, and the episode ends with the DS9 guys having a big party together as a team, and the Vulcans skulking off sniping at each other. It was actually pretty good.

Aren't we supposed to move this to the Individual League board? Don't have time at the moment to start the thread, but thought I would suggest it.
