12-19 in 1-run games now, losing two more last night that I coulda easily had won both. I have been so snake-bit in the last two NLD's.

NP,

I like your pics better than mine! ;) Megan is certainly name appropriately!

Jeep, I see you lost patience with your team and made some moves. My initial take is that your rating dropped about 100 points. I agree that your team had been underperforming. Tough losing all those one runners. Big M has been even more unlucky with a -10.

I'm sure I lost "rating points" but I'm in it to win it, not finish second. Moves had to be made.

Well...If last night was any indication not much 'splaning needs to be done.

Basically I needed another big bat and Mussina was sucking. I had excellent defense so it didn't hurt losing some "D" imo.

So I basically replaced Maholm with Mussina, who was sucking big time and Maholm has done well for me in 2 other leagues so I felt I improved my starting pitching and put more thump in my L/U adding a couple of guys there. Sometimes all it takes are a couple of minor tweaks and I wasn't going to the p/o's with my current squad, so why not try and improve.

Hate to bring this back up, but last night all of the above came together pretty nicely.

In all honesty I will probably play around .500 ball now as I did before, but I certainly don't think I'll be worse.

Yeah, I didn't mean that to sound as if it was a horrible move (if it sounded that way :?: ) I just think it's interesting to hear people's logic for moves.

Yeah, you took it to us last night. It didn't help that both Crisp and Anderson were out. :( Or that Oswalt continues to suck and that you have AJ Burnett somehow with a 2.69 ERA  Or that my best RP got crushed in game 3. I guess that's how you get swept! ;) :D

That's only our second sweep of the season so I guess I can't complain too much given the circumstances. <shrug>

Hopefully we'll do better v Stoney tonight. Anderson will be back.

Wow! We swept the best team in the league tonight! Pounded out 27 runs. He got his share of hits, but we just out scored him mostly. I guess maybe our bullpen is better as none of the SPs went deep for either team. Haren went the longest at 6 1/3.

While I like being called the best team in the league I'm not sure that's the case, just the best record right now.

I out hit you last night but got out-homered 7-0.

My moves are paying off (so far) as Maholm has gone 2-0 and Miles is hitting over .300 with production. The one negaive, however, is Vlad hitting at a buck-70, but hopefully that changes.

Napoli had an 8-RBI game last night. :)
