Yep, the East has been a season-long battle. Me and Jeep have made a number of pushes to try and get past Keith. However, he always seems to step it up and maintain the #1 spot.
Now that I'm within a game of first place, ARod has decided to take the next 6 games off! I am very interested to see what HAL does with my lineup. I'm not going to jack around with my lineup..so we'll see if HAL has some street smarts. There are a lot of scenarios for HAL to work with on replacing ARod at 3rd.

I hesitate to mention this, but the Gladiators have finally been caught. They have apparently handled the prussure flawlessly all season, so where do we go from here?

I have a feeling no one opens up any kind of lead and we stay bunched just like we have all season.

Regardless, I hope I stay in it cause it will be fun if I do. 8-)

The Gladiators and I played a classic game last night. I'm sure ESPN will pick this up as one of their "instant classics". The Glads scored 6 in the top of the 9th to take an 11-10 lead only to see my squad get two in the bottom of the 9th to pull it out 12-11. I know I was on the winning end of this one, but it doesn't get much better than that:

I KNOW I'll regret saying this, but two games is the biggest lead anyone has had in the East (I think) in quite some time.

I unfortunately have those Buzzing B's on tap tonight so my work will be cut out for me immediately in keeping this lead.

BTW, GL East guys, this has been a fun season competing with us all being so close the whole year.

I dunno, Jeep. My win streak not withstanding, we've nearly split the games with the run diff being a single run overall. So it's anyone's guess.

But heck, all the same, here's to regrets.

Actually, my slugging team has kept me in it so far, but my pitching is starting to collapse. Now I'm 5 games out and will have to battle back.
Luckily, my head to head record against you and KLX is 16-8. I'm hoping that means I match up better against you two and can climb back into it in divisional play.
All I know is that I'm glad I'm done with the evil Toshiro!!! :evil: 2-10 record against his juggernaut ballclub has single handedly knocked me below .500.

Man, I could use some pitching!!
