Unfortunately, sometime within the next couple nights, I should register my loss number 10000. Sigh. 20000 games. Roughly 124 seasons, roughly 3000 dollars. Sigh.

Since after 20000 games I am almost exactly at .500, I have decided to retire from On line baseball. Instead, every night I will flip a coin one time. Heads I win, tails I lose. I will continue with theme nights, however. Tonight I will be flipping a Bahamian quarter.

That's fine, but what are you going to do with all that extra money laying around that you would save? It will only bring you trouble.

Blowing it on SOM won't land you in jail.

No, but I have often mused that if I ever do go to prison, on line gaming would be about the best thing going, if it were allowed. It is probably denied prisoners, however. I can't even get on to check my teams from the hospital! They have blocked all fun sites. I can do without my porn for a few hours, but no SOM? Cruel and unusual punishment!

That didn't take long. A crappy night, lowlighted by Pete Alexander getting rocked for 6 runs in 1/3 of an inning in game 1 of the finals en route to a 17-14 loss. Red Faber was next, giving up many more. I hate that about the HAL program. It cannot differentiate between playoffs and regular season. I would not bring my mop up reliever into the ist inning of any game in the Series, but HAL would in game 7 if you fall behind. Now, where is that quarter?

Congratulations and Salutations on your 10,000th win. I should be there myself in the next few nights. I keep thinking someday I'll belong in the top 10, but it sure doesn't feel like I do. I don't know how many series I start against Pete and feel the dread, and then once in a blue moon he loses. Sh-boom, sh-boom, life is but a dream.

I'm doing my part to stimulate the economy. Passed 10,000 tonight and I'm still under 9000 losses. But no, I'm not addicted to this game.
