The 70's As They Really Were - 1975 - West Loading

Postby pwootten » Sat Jun 20, 2009 9:32 am

We've just concluded a successful 1973, so it's time to move forward to '75. Everyone please remember who you've traded, who has been lost to retirement, and new players you might be picking up. If you need the spreadsheet to check up on things, PM me with an e-mail address.

We'll remain in the same divisions and at the same $80M salary cap. The cap definitely keeps things more competitive.

If the East can begin loading we'll shoot for beginning play a week from Monday, just as '73's playoffs come to a close.

Divisions are:

[u:87956c8586]East[/u:87956c8586]
BrandonCraig
crossingroads
ehlekev
Gmac

[u:87956c8586]Central[/u:87956c8586]
ggrover
jmc316
LMBombers
RunninRebel

[u:87956c8586]West[/u:87956c8586]
durantjerry
FAaron

I'll wait to load last and close out the league. Will someone in the East volunteer to set it up? $80M, frenzy, weighted waivers, DH.

Thanks,
Paul

Slug, what gives???? You are using the apostrophe instead of the comma. Did you take a typing class recently? Get a better secretary?

Man......this decade sucks! My Orioles-Tigers have won 72 and 71 games respectively in the first 2 leagues of this evil theme league. I would have thought that the great Orioles teams of the early 70s would pan out better than this. My second season was much better statistically, but couldn't win the close ones.
Having the #1 pitching staff 2 years in a row.....does not win games!! I need some hitting. Oglivie, Cooper, and Singleton are new additions that I hope can change my ways. I didn't realize when I signed up that the 70s leagues would mean I would have 70s in my win column!

I would wish you all good luck, but I'm the one who really needs it.

Hey JMC, I was going to hold my "Thanks" until after about 50 games. At that time I would decide whether to thank you or place a curse on you and your team!
