While we've got a little dead space here, I thought I would give a more in depth reasoning, as to why I chose the unique 3rd round draft order.
In the past when I had been in this type of league, those who draw early choices have had a large advantage. This year, with 3 rounds, if we had gone with a regular serpentine draft including the 3rd round, the 1st choice would have had a huge advantage, 1st pick among full team, first pick among half teams, plus two picks in a row.
My intention was to create a draft system where nobody was totally blessed, and no one totally cursed, but everyone had a real shot. And I feel good about the results. (although I am always open to feedback about ways to do it better)
This year it is an open question what the most fortuitous draft position was, was it 1st, 12th, maybe 9th? That is what I was aiming for. That was the same reason I attached the stadium privileges to the Pitching Staffs in the 3rd round, Cinncinatti, Washington, and Pittsburg have some fairly lame pitching, but that is partially equalized by the fact that they give you an extra stadium choice, which could be especially important in the case of Cinn and Pitt as they have popular stadiums. Again, my goal was that as much as possible, no one gets screwed by fate.

There's no perfect way to set up this kind of draft. Seems to me like you put a lot of thought into it, including trying to learn from inequities of past draft experiences in this kind of a league. Good on ya. :)

Now ... if I had my way, we'd have each round on separate days and each day's draft order would be determined by the previous day's Pick 3 results. Wouldn't that be hoot!

Oh, so I can't use Seatlle's Stadium? Whoops, didn't realize that though probably wouldn't have picked it anyway. No trades until teams are loaded into TSN, right?

No, the moment the last team is chosen, go for it! (by the way I like to trade a lot, too!)

I like the suggestion we put part of each of our three team in our team name

Depending on tallguy's choice, I will either be the LaLaBurg Astro Pirates (AAARGH!) or the Astroland Artful Dodgerettes.
