Nobody is waiting on [i:e232a96bd3]me[/i:e232a96bd3] now. I've made all my picks in a timely manner -- all within the time specified at the beginning. What are we doing then? Are we stopping here after 25 or continuing on?

If we can stop at 25, why not let cminton drop 3 players and pick up 3 RPs. I do agree if everyone would have proxies set up that the last 3 rounds would fly by.

25 rounds are complete Let's say we agree to stop here. Now if cminton is allowed to exchange the 3 players he needs to exchange, would the players he freed up just be free agents to be grabbed in the frenzy? Or would we deal with these dropped players before the frenzy since they might be wanted?

That's the question.... if they became free agents to be grabbed in the frenzy then cminton can argue this is unfair as he had made his original 25 picks under the assumption he was going to get 28 choices. Alternatively, if he's allowed to take his three back at the outset, then we can argue this is an advantage to him.

I know there's a solution somewhere I just don't know it yet.

There are 30 RP's left, from .50 to .62 - they are all garbage. Fortunately, it's cminton that has to deal with being forced to play 3-4 of them on his team. - It's the REST OF US that benefits from that. - And that's just awful planning on his part.

He has 10 - count 'em 10 pitchers currently on his team, most of them SX/RX - if he drops the cheapest three, that's a price range from $3.70 to $4.69.

Still remaining eligible to be drafted are SP's at $4.51, $4.05, $4.0 - so clearly, the SP's he will most likely drop are clearly no studs and aren't likely to be sought after.

I agree with letting him drop and pick those crappy relievers and be done with it. :o

He can always attempt pre-season trades with the rest of us to try and bolster up his team.

The rules at the beginning were that we would draft 28. We would all put 25 on our draft cards and then get the other three in the waiver draft. Without salary requirements, we can easily hold all 28 on our final rosters. How can you consider changing the rules now? I followed the rules. Why am I being forced to drop $10+ million of value?

You're not being forced to drop them just yet. A decision hasn't been reached yet.

The majority opinion here though, is to stop the draft at 25 because it's dragging on and everyone, well 11 of 12 teams anyway, are satisfied with the 25 they have now.

The question is that if we stop the draft at 25 how do we deal with your situation? As I pointed out, if you dump your three players to the FA pool and anyone can take them - you lose. If you're allowed rights to them - we lose - because you were essentially able to reserve three so-so dual-use pitchers while everyone else filled their rosters with three relatively useless relief only pitchers.

It appears that most managers here made a point of making sure their first 25 picks conformed to draft guidelines...

Probably, I think in the name of fairness, because we were looking at a 28 draft off the top, we should go ahead and draft through 28 this time.

But if we do so - can *EVERYONE* **PLEASE** ***SET*** ****PROXIES**** - ideally with about ten names in them - so this draft be can done and over asap?????

This was not part of some tricky draft strategy on my part. It was actually a mistake. I have not played ATG in a while and did not know there was a requirement to draft at least three RP only pitchers. I feel I actually lost out. At the time I was picking the SP/RP pitchers, other teams were taking $2-3MM hitters and $1-2MM RP's - not the crummy RP's that are there now. I would have gladly taken those players. However, the small benefit I get now, is that my extra players are good SP/RP players.

While the first 25 players I drafted do not conform to TSN's draft guidelines, I did follow the rules for this draft.

i reccomend that if any one wants too draft 3 remaining players that they can. I was thinking that i would just pass on the remaing 3 rounds. I do agree with cminton that it was a 28 round draft and he should not forfiet any players he drafted up until this point. i just think that for my situation that i will not draft any more players.

This can go round and round forever. Meanwhile we could be drafting and get this thing over with.

So- let's just finish the draft already.

caimrisek is up next. Pick somebody and set about ten proxy picks to finish off.

If everybody sets about ten proxy picks (I just did) whether you want to draft or not, this thing should finish by tomorrow. Or we can keep discussing until tomorrow or later what to do.

And when we move on to the prewar league we'll cut the draft at 25.
