Deadball League

I put 20 guys that I will never play on my proxy list. So I'm done with it.

Also, zimharry and miduar have manual picks they must make since they apparently have made drops and have holes to fill.

I think they need to take care of that to eliminate any possibility of the draft stopping instead of moving on. That, plus making a bunch of proxy picks.

It wont be me that stops the draft from finishing at 28.

I assumed that [b:1395b99e7d]after 25 rounds each mgr. would have picked the proper mix of players required to join a league under TSN/SOM rules[/b:1395b99e7d]; 3 pure relievers etc. -- a complete roster ready to go. (I think 11 of 12 did.) I thought the 3 extra picks at the end were originally supposed to be "reserved" to be claimed on waivers.

So, if we're going ahead with the final 3 rounds are we [i:1395b99e7d]not [/i:1395b99e7d]doing the frenzy?

I think most of us assumed that our first 25 picks had to conform since those were the ones you would load.

It'll still be a frenzy, otherwise you'd have to wait two days to bring up your last three players.

I think I posted before (or at least I thought about it), that you'd have 24 hours of 'reserve' on your last three. If you don't put them on your roster than anybody can take them.

But there is no restriction in this league on player movements up and down or across teams.

I've got to think any advantage of having those SP/RPs is going to be minimal if any. I have no problem letting him stick 3 scrub RP only and still let him have his bottom 3 SP/RPs that he has to not include on his draft card.

I'd just hate to see this thing drag out another week getting these last 3 rounds in and filling the league. With the manual picks that need to made, the last 3 rounds could be the longest of the draft and there is no need for that. If you need to rely on any of these guys for significant ABs or IPs , you are screwed to begin with - it doesn't matter much which one of these guys get the ABs or IPs

Lets get this show on the road!

Sorry guys...that I held up the draft for so long...was at work yesterday and thought I had enough proxies set...

Through my own idiocy I have an abundance of starting pitching. I will need to move Stan Coveleski AND Pud Galvin. Not sure what I can get for them OR if anyone need an SP. Let me know....

I do not think I am alone with my feelings this draft has been a test of patience. I prefer a live draft and even found this one to be a lot of fun. However, it has taken way too long. Please take under consideration for future drafts that we make a time requirement of 15 minutes per pick. If not available for the pick then have your proxy set. If no proxy then you lose your pick. Of course, the 9am - 9pm should stay in effect. It seemed there were some people that only checked the draft once per day and thus it made it stretch out to two weeks. Please respond as I would like to get a feel as to how long everyone thinks a draft should last. Thanks,

It taken way longer than it should have. While there was once or twice when my proxies ran out, at least I used them. It's clear that not everyone did. And whether or not their justifcation was that they were "following the rules" - that's what's caused MOST of the delays.

I'm just as exhausted over this as anyone else. Let's get 'er done. With the 20 proxies I have set, it won't be me that causes any future delays.

Thanks Moose, I didn't realize I missed #25. I suspect I was skipped for that one, which is OK.
