Summary

Postby ROBERTLATORRE » Sun Jul 05, 2009 8:49 pm

Houston has a lot of strengths.

Help out with this one gents.

The only holes that jump out at me are Catcher, 1 SP, LH RPs, and a good fielding 2B.

BAL - would pass on the O's, they would add LH arms, 2B and a C
CLE - no useful LH arms, but the Indians would add a 2B and C
COL - besides a LH SP, no real needs addressed, just HATE to give anyone HELTON!!
FLA - would pass on the Marlins, great 2B and more then a couple useful arms.
NYM - would pass based on the LH arms alone.
TOR - good 2B, a couple OK arms, not too many upgrades.

I guess I am leaning towards the Rockies, but I am holding back my vote waiting for you guys to chime in.

I voted COL as Helton is extremely overpriced in this set and never lives up to that price tag, otherwise it gives no advantages to his team that he doesn't already have.

BAL, CLE & FLA all give him a good 2B and C. TOR gives him a good 2B. NYM has way too many good RP which is one of his needs.

COL doesn't give him anything in the way of his biggest needs: C, 2B and RP depth.

Wow, this is the closest voting yet! I intentionally looked at all the teams and made my decision prior to reading what had already been said or seeing the voting results so far. I like doing it this way so as to avoid being influenced. Looks like we will need all 11 managers to vote on this one.

6 is a majority so I think it has been decided. This one was fun. I think it is good to have more than one team voted on like this. 8-)
