jab-

it's the stadium round first ... then stud round... right? To be listed here in the order determined by the lottery... right?

Jimmy,

How do you pick a team without knowing your stadium? Don't you tailor make your team to fit the stadium?

I understand that and I have an idea of the stadium I want, but with the lottery you may get a third of fourth choice. Maybe Jimmy has an in with the lottery director in his state.

I have a core bunch of hitters picked out, but will alter them based on the stadium and stud. I'm not really as expert as some of the guys here in picking proper pitching for a particular stadium, so I pretty much go with a core bunch of guys there too.

I mostly wanted to get a jump on how much the position players will cost in salary, and was pleasantly surprised that there is a lot of money to play with here for pitching when all your position players are under 4 mill.

I figured if I had a basic framework put together now, I can adjust and be ready when the commish says go!

Just having a little fun with you Jimmy.

Optimism

Postby rookssa1958 » Thu Sep 15, 2005 4:40 pm

Hey Jablowmi,

I have to nominate you for optimist of the year. Knowing that we don't have the lottery picks yet, haven't done the Stadium or stud draft, and yet still hoping to filll Saturday afternoon???????

Not even sure we could fill Saturday if we were all in the same room and tied to our PC's....

Roof, a valid TSN roster in Back to the 80's always has a cap of 80 mill.

After Jablowmi posts the results of the lottery, we will each come out here and post our stdium pick when it is our turn ,and then we will go back up the order picking our stud.

After that, we will enter our teams on the TSN site, but we need to go in the order assigned so we will be in the correct division. To accomplish this, the first team to enter the league, a Team from the East, will create the league and send the password to the other teams in the East. The last team int he East will send the Passwrod to the 4 teams in the Central. The last team in the Central will send the pass word to the four teams int eh west. When the last team in the west enters, the league will "auto draft" that night or early the next morning (maybe?)
2 days later Waivers will be processed, and then the "Frenzy" will occur.
The first Monday after that, the season will begin.
It will be tons of fun.
Maybe everyone should post there username, so we can find you guys in the new PM system.
Does everyone know how to check for Private messages?

I guess I am rookssa1958, I have never sent a message to myself.
