Gentleman,

Was hoping we would have blown through a few more picks than we did today, but at least it was faster than yesterday.

I will leave a few proxy choices for my next pick, at least to where Yount Fan can make his double pick, but if we dont reach my next pick by 4:30pm PST, we are headin our for the evening.

My proxies will cover me to that first pick. This AL/NL stuff has made this draft very unique for sure....

Pick away!

32 picks in...any surprises?

One thing that caught my eye-only one pitcher (Jim Hunter) has been selected.

Anything catch your eye regarding the draft up to this point?

I predict now that we might start seeing some off the wall players for the final three rounds as teams have some specific players in mind to round out their roster. Blomberg in the 2nd might be a little surprising but nothing wacky. I predict that in round 4 we may see a 750K player or two taken.

Since I have the next AL pick after a few more NL picks I'm going to throw a tease out as to who I'm taking...He is an AL only guy whose last name is the name of a town just outside of ATL where I live that features one of the largest shopping malls in the southeast! Forgot to add that it is also the name of the town where the Braves AAA franchise is now located!

The National League teams are going to score plenty of runs at home-a team with Stargell, Foster and Parker and another with Aaron, Schmidt and McCovey playing in hitters parks will be hard to stop. The American League teams seem to be valuing defense.

This is part of the goodness coming out of this concept-there are different ways of builiding a championship team and it will be interesting to see how the styles compare.

Also, it appears the Big Red Machine is being reassembled.

Idanred picked Kingman. What is the deal with that? Kong never played for the Reds.

I got snaked by Latore on both Stargell and Parker. :(

Neither Parker or Stargell would have made it past me if they were there anyways! :D

We seem to have come to a standstill again this afternoon. Probably good that this was only a 6 RD Draft.

Sorry for the delay gents, I made my pick just now. I hope I get one of Aparicio's good years. I guess I'm surprised that I'm the only one to select a pitcher so far, but Catfish's numbers in Comiskey look pretty good.
