Well, eleven hours later, it seems that I did okay.

Had three picks go, and they were all proxy. Builds my confidence in preparing my picks.

Well, It's interesting for sure. Lots of balance between this year and the next few years. I hope anyone drafting for just this year continues in the league beyond this year. Could be a fun league.

I plan on staying in the league next season. I'm drafting for this year, next, and beyond. Glad I got Scutaro, will be a nice back up this year and potentially have a great card next year at ss, just incase I don't like how Escobar pans out.

My rotation of Cain, Lester, Floyd and Santana wil hopefully have a long productive future even though Santana might be in the minors next year, unless he can turn it around these last 2 months.

Still lots of picks to go, very interested to see how it goes. I missed out on a couple guys I thought I could get later, but guess that's the way it goes.

I've been trying to get into a keeper league for a while so I in for next season too.

BTW, I'm not as good on the proxy list as I thought. I wanted Ibanez OR Cust. Go them both.

Anyone looking for a DH?

I was hoping that the draft would be a bit further along, but....
tomorrow I am going away for five days. To the mountains, no tv, no internet, and lots of nature. So if it seems that I've disappeared, it is only temporary.

I have set a bunch of proxies and got my brother to look in on my team, so I hope that I shouldn't cause too many problems.

The draft moved along beautifully today!
I am totally playing for '09 and beyond.
My team was having a great draft at first. I was getting almost everyone I wanted (who I thought had a decent chance of being around at a certain round). I was stunned that I got Reynolds in the 6th. Then eventually I started losing players I wanted, I was hoping no one would notice Hughes, but NY beat me to him, and Zim got Franklin right before I wanted to take him (although I already had a closer, so that did not sting so much) I almost took Washburn, but I wanted to see how he would pitch for Tigers. He has nice stats so far, but his first Tiger outing did not inspire confidence, so maybe it was Ok that I missed him.
If they keep their stats going, Adams and Willingham are going to be 2 great sleepers for 2009.
