I just want to post these trades, which were reported elsewhere, on this site so we have an official record of them.

The Milkshakes trade Dan Giese to the Marauders for
Villanueva and a 2nd round prospect pick

The Milkshakes trade catcher J. Baker to the
Marauders for Ben Zobrist

Congrats to the other playoff teams. Next, we do have a supplementary draft, then the divisions are re-arranged with the playoff teams going into the same division, the middle teams in the middle divison and then the four bottom records in one division. So the non-playoff teams get a real chance to turn things around when we play another season with the same set of cards. I prefer to have the supp draft after the playoffs are over. But, assuming there's no problem accessing the Message Boards, managers can begin announcing their cuts (up to 3) on the boards, and we can start drafting when all teams have checked in.

Question

Postby ndowdy » Mon Aug 24, 2009 2:22 pm

I assume the answer to this question is yes, but just checking. Say I decide to drop 3 players for the supplemental draft and later decide I'd rather have one of them back than take anybody currently available at that time, is this permitted? I am assuming I could simply use my pick to draft my own former player back to my team if I like?

Trades anyone?

Postby ndowdy » Mon Aug 24, 2009 2:29 pm

Personnel or picks for other players or vice versa. I'm on the hunt for a RH bat or 2 with good extra base chances that are not BP HR's, and maybe another big LH bat that does hit HR's. I have a surplus of pitching also a couple good catchers as my main trade bait, and probably an extra outfielder or 2 above and beyond what I need. I am also interested in a good LH out of the bullpen, and possibly a SS. Really would consider help at any IF position.

Email me at neildowdy@mac.com if you have an offer...

First off, thanks to all who offered congratulations. Billy had a slightly better team as measured by run differential or record, and beat mes 8-4 in the regular season, so, predictably, it was a sweep in my favor...

I hope everyone had fun this season. I look forward to the chance to defend the title.

Here are my drops for the draft:

1) Ryan Church OF
2) Chris Young SP
