Barnstormers 2009 Fines Assessed

As much as I hammer this issue home, both in the rules AND in the e-mail's that I send out to join your league, there are still more of you than I expect that duplicate your stadium grouping choice.

This could be the difference between making the Top 6 for the automatic bye or making the top 42 which will get you into the semi-finals.

That being said, here are 7 players who duplicated their stadium grouping choice from previous events. They will each have 25 points (WINS) deducted from their total for the year in which they had the violation. This will in most cases cause that event to automatically be the drop low event.

This will lessen the impact for a one-time offender of the policy. This is a clarification from how I initially believed this applied, and came directly from Bernie on how he is actually applying the penalty.

I used Sportsman's PK NL '41 Event 1 and Yankee Stadium '57 for Event 2 and Connie Mack Stadium '57 for Event 3? Why are you fining me?

I dont even know what a stadium grouping is, let alone where it is listed at. I thought that we could not use the same stadium twice.

Stadium groupings are an integral part of Barnstormers. To not only play different salary caps, but also different subsets AND different stadium types. Stadium groupings (types) categorized such as Extreme Hitting, Extreme Pitching, Lefty, Righty, etc.

I don't see anything at this time which will affect the Top 42 players. Those that got fines are mostly out of contention.

The fines have affected me. Right now I would be in the Top 42 players.

Thanks for understanding how over whelming this game can be the first time you play it. Seriously, Event 1 was my 1st team ever. It was an honest mistake, I thought we could not use the same stadium twice.

You haven't been affected at all. Your lowest or "drop" season was also the event you were penalized for. So that event, and the 25-point penalty for that event, were not counted in your totals.

You have 76+75+84+80+81 points in your events, plus +5 for making the playoffs in one event. This is 401. Your 62 win event and the -25 point penalty are not figured into your final total.
