It is just such a guesswork proposition.
I don't usually set those at all at first and watch to see how HAL uses the troops. If I have someone I definitely want in save situations, I will check them to not use before the 8th and 1 - 2 max. If I have someone I definitely want to be the setup man, I will check him not to use before the 7th, 1 - 2 max.
If you put too many restrictions on HAL, he will make some goofy moves (even goofier than his normal goofy ones?)
But you have to give HAL some guys to work with, if you force him to only use a few, they will pitch fatigued and be bad.
If you check them all to some max number, you better get a mop up guy, but HAL will still get you and use that mop up guy in a key situation and really chap you.
A lot of the fun is loggin in, looking at the box score, scratching your head, and trying to reset them so HAL doesn't do the same thing again.
(By the way HAL, I love you man, please don't put my teams in a tail spin, I meant no disrespect.)
