Oddly enough... we broke up a couple of nights ago... methinks that what I'll d from now on is name my NLD teams after the woman I am [i:2a2f12aedd]starting[/i:2a2f12aedd] to date... during the 7/8 weeks if league play I'll know given how the team fares against the jeepster and it will be an indication of whether she's a keeper or a tanker... hmmm... methinks I've found the elixir for dating 8-)

well, we won six in a row over the weekend before losing 2 of 3 last night. I figured we were due to improve a bit after that lousy stretch. Hopefully we can get back to winning series' tonight! 8-)

In the mean time, moves from NP and Silver. What up with the moves boys?

Just trying to optimize salary usage. Hinske not getting the ABs to justify his salary & figured Dobbs can do a lot of the same, but better D at 3B when Gordon is hurt, less BP HR though.

Also, looked hard at Pena, and his #s vs LH just not good enough, so we're back to our original though of him & Nomar in a platoon.

On a side note, the under $1M replacement for the over $5M Kapler doing just fine in the initial going...bullpen still not great though...

Simple, I had extra cash and was getting hit by lefties so I dropped a rhp (Cook) for a comparably priced LHP in Olsen and dropped my cheap No.4 (Cain) guy who was getting hammered, for a different cheap No. 4 guy that I've had success with in past leagues. Schnieder wasn't getting it done, Pagan had no AB's so I cashed them both in for Salty to hopefully improve my C's hitting against RHP. No great mystery.

So far Olsen his .500 but has a 2 run lower ERA, Blackburn has a bad era but is 3-1

and Salty is getting OB .150 points higher than Schneider.
Mission accomplished. :D

On a follow up to the above post, my bullpen help was Hawkins as a RH specialist. In 19 ABs vs RH, he has given up 8 hits, a .421 avg. Very nice... :roll:

Following up myself, I'm 15-9 since the changes so again, mission accomplished, especially adding Olsen I SORELY needed a LH sp.
