In this scenario Rich Harden was pitching - roll was a '4-6', which on Harden's card is a fly(cf)B vs lefties (Utley at bat). How did this turn into a home run? I included the prior at bat for info purposes...

That's peculiar. It should have been a triple 1-3, flyout 4-20.

Maybe because he was an F8 he gave up that extra base??

It's also possible there was a typo ...

Anyone know that answer? Also, what exactly does the 'F8' signify?

It looks like it was a triple that was stretched into a homerun, via the [url=http://somonline.bluwiki.com/go/Maximum_rule:_More_baserunning_decisions]More baserunning decisions[/url] maximum rule.

The F8 is part of the [url=http://somonline.bluwiki.com/go/Pitch_Count_Fatigue]Pitch Count Fatigue[/url] system that has always been in effect, and is now a part of the play-by-play displays with the advent of [url=http://somonline.bluwiki.com/go/Bullpen_v2]Bullpen v2[/url].
