Any Triple Crown winners and longest winning streaks?

Our Mystery Card games - The '70s Game, Back to the '80s, Back to the '90s

I've had three online Strat-o-matic baseball teams thus far. My first team, the Park 309 Sultans, playing in a $100 mil cap ATG4 post WWII league, started 8-16 before I made some changes. It promptly won 8 in a row to even its record at 16-16, but flirted on and off with the .500 mark and finished the first third of the season at 26-28. It then reeled off a 9 game winning streak, lost one, then won 3 more in row before losing two, then won 13 in a row, lost a game by 1 run, then won three more in a row. It went 28-4 during the hot streak, outscoring its opponents by a whopping 121 runs, 237-116, over the 32 games. Needless to say, in a short period of time, the Sultans went from worst to first. Part of the reason for the turn around was that Mantle and Bench were dropped by other teams after game 24 for poor performance and I immediately scooped them up. Mantle's combined season totals were a .333 BA average, 58 HRs and 143 RBI. Although he led the league in OBP at .439 and OPS at 1.138, he finished[b:48b2cffd7e] [i:48b2cffd7e]8th[/i:48b2cffd7e][/b:48b2cffd7e] in HRs behind Maris (80), Barry Bonds (73), Kiner (73), Schmidt (65), Mays (64), teammate Willie Stargell (63) & McGwire (59), finished [i:48b2cffd7e][b:48b2cffd7e]3rd[/b:48b2cffd7e][/i:48b2cffd7e] in batting average behind Aaron and Musial at .339 each and finished [i:48b2cffd7e][b:48b2cffd7e]6th[/b:48b2cffd7e][/i:48b2cffd7e] in RBI behind Maris (165), Mays (158), Schmidt (154), F. Robinson (149) and Stargell (144). The Sultans eventually finished with the league's best record at 98-64, but lost to the wild card in the first round of the playoffs. Here's a link to that team:

Although modest by comparison to the 21 game winning streak others have posted in this thread, my second team, the $100 mil cap '80s league Rip City Wreckers, after finishing the regular season with the league's second best record at 92-70 and going to the playoffs as the wild card, was down 0-2 in the first round of the playoffs before reeling off 7 straight wins, its longest winning streak of the season, to win the championship. Here's the team that just had its 21 game winning streak snapped...For all that I'm clinging to a one game division lead and only a handful games up in the WC...It would be nice if MR. 30HR/25 double/.344BA man was bettter than 4th on my own team in RBI!!!
