I know that it is long, tedious work.

When I've done it in the past, I usually open the Excel spreadsheet of players, sort by league (I add such a field after sorting by team) and salary, then open up both the draft site and the Excel spreadsheet in side-by-side non-maximized windows. Then I just look back and forth from the list to the draft site and type in the names of those in the inappropriate league. Still need to be careful that you are picking, say, the correct "Ramirez," but otherwise it's hard to mistakenly exclude players.

Seems quite conceivable that Calbatross had, say, Halladay and Pedroia as proxy selections. Hope he checks in sooner rather than later.

I'm sorry, but I'm still not seeing IB on the SOM Draft site. Is it possible the invite was sent there to "moneymaze?" My identification there is "calliaume." Please advise.

Sorry. I didn't check this thread last night and excluded Wright, thought I was helping Meat do exclusions. This is turning into a big mess. My bad.

Is there a way to unexclude excluded players?

It's also a mess when someone assumes they don't have to pick for awhile and then doesn't check anything...clearly hasn't read this thread.

Even if you "think" you're all set with proxies, etc., please check in as frequently as possible in case there's some quirks in the draft or proxies don't fire, or proxies are taken or whatever the case, as these long pauses, especially when there's no clock is a bummer for everyone.

As someone who has ran many a live draft, the key is just being courteous to your fellow Somer. 8-)

I'm concerned now, though, that people might have set proxies based on Meat's Pedroia = Wright announcement and that if we start running again, someone who wanted Pedroia will get skipped.

Calbatross could make things easier if he does in fact want Pedroia. Calbatross, if you want to pick someone else, please announce it on this board only and we'll figure out how to go from there. If you want Pedroia, go ahead and pick Busch Stadium.

We've done lots of live drafts before as well, Jeep. Can't say we've ever had so many problems right out of the gate!
