Following up on my post above, yep. We're still broken up, we're still not talking to each other... seems like C2 is single... again  / :D

P.S. In case it isn't clear, I named my team after MyLady... since Jeepster swept me, my "Ex"... thanks again Jeepy. :P

NP Chuck. Maybe I could get you hooked up with a Southern gal. I know this cute one around here and she even has a few of her original teeth. And to top it off, at the risk of getting you too excited, her parents aren't even brother and sister.

Ok, at long last. Ratings for your perusal. I took the pitching stats on Monday and the values for Wins/Runs, etc yesterday. This doesn't have Silver's latest move in it.

I added a new "feature" which shows the ratings for each team in each park so you can see how you *should* match up. I also removed run differential which didn't seem to show much in favor of a ranking based on how many parks you're better in minus the ones you're worse in. Any parks where the ratings are within 50 points of each other are considered equal.

[code:1:7b89707afa]
Team O P F P+F Overall
Wineman 8311 4844 543 5387 2924
cummng2 8245 5102 296 5398 2847
Warrior 8087 4822 468 5290 2797
JeepDrv 7865 4667 414 5081 2784
Silvers 8160 5105 428 5534 2627
BigAlrc 7834 5047 221 5268 2566
BigMahn 7826 4951 375 5325 2501
NinersP 8177 4992 700 5691 2486
Smokey. 7946 4936 548 5484 2462
Stoney. 7943 4916 642 5558 2385
Hawkeye 7819 4865 585 5450 2369
ArrylTr 7989 5064 654 5719 2271
[/code:1:7b89707afa]

A bigger spread than I would have expected in 100 mil league. From these ratings the West would be a two team race between Burgundy and C2, Warrior would be the favortie int he Central and Jeep would be in #1 slot in the East.

At this point only C2 and Jeep are living up to their billing. Warrior isn't in bad position in the Central, but Burgundy is majorly under performing.

As AT feared, he's going to struggle and Hawk and Stoney should also be in the East next time around.

I'll touch on fielding here. C2 and Big A have outstanding fielding which should help their pitching. On the other side of the coin, NP is the worst with Stone and AT also below average.

[code:1:7b89707afa]
Team Ov Ovrl Rtg Rec Dif
Wineman 2924 1 6 -5 W
cummng2 2847 2 1 1 W
Warrior 2797 3 5 -2 C
JeepDrv 2784 3 3 0 E
Silvers 2627 5 6 -1 W
BigAlrc 2566 6 4 2 C
BigMahn 2501 7 3 4 E
NinersP 2486 7 4 3 E
Smokey. 2462 7 5 2 C
Stoney. 2385 9 6 3 W
Hawkeye 2369 9 7 2 C
ArrylTr 2271 11 9 2 E
[/code:1:7b89707afa]

Overall things are really pretty close with two exceptions, Burgundy is way under and Big M is pretty far over. NP and Stoney are mild surprises and Warrior a minor disappoitnment. NP primarily due to his excellent record in one run games.

[code:1:7b89707afa]
Team Of O Rtg Run Dif
Wineman 8311 1 6 -5 W
cummng2 8245 2 1 1 W
NinersP 8177 3 4 -1 E
Silvers 8160 3 4 -1 W
Warrior 8087 5 5 0 C
ArrylTr 7989 6 9 -3 E
Smokey. 7946 7 8 -1 C
Stoney. 7943 7 7 0 W
JeepDrv 7865 9 8 1 E
BigAlrc 7834 9 7 2 C
BigMahn 7826 9 8 1 E
Hawkeye 7819 9 7 2 C
[/code:1:7b89707afa]

Offensively, again, things are pretty close, in fact, probably as close as I've seen it with one very large exception being the Burgundy.

Best offensive clubs should be Burgundy, c2 NP and Silver with Warrior not too far back.

Things flatten out at the bottom with four teams contending for the bottom spot.

[code:1:7b89707afa]
Team PF P+F Rtg Run Dif
JeepDrv 5081 1 3 -2 E
BigAlrc 5268 3 4 -1 C
Warrior 5290 3 9 -6 C
BigMahn 5325 4 1 3 E
Wineman 5387 5 11 -6 W
cummng2 5398 5 5 0 W
Hawkeye 5450 7 6 1 C
Smokey. 5484 8 7 1 C
Silvers 5534 9 8 1 W
Stoney. 5558 9 5 4 W
NinersP 5691 11 10 1 E
ArrylTr 5719 12 11 1 E
[/code:1:7b89707afa]

Pitching isn't as close as the hitting. You can see the reason for Warrior's underperformance so far, his pitching hasn't been as good as expected. Of course, the Burgundy is way under again. Stoney is above where it might be expected due to their pitching over performing. Big M is doing better than expected primarily due to his pitching also.

[code:1:7b89707afa]
Park Ovrl Rtg Rec Dif
Wineman 17 1 6 -5 W
JeepDrv 16 1 3 -2 E
cummng2 15 1 1 0 W
warrior 13 3 5 -2 C
BigAlrc 5 5 4 1 C
Silvers -2 6 6 0 W
Smokey. -3 6 5 1 C
BigMahn -3 6 3 3 E
stoney. -6 7 6 1 W
Ninersp -14 9 4 5 E
hawkeye -16 10 7 3 C
ArrylTr -22 12 9 3 E

[/code:1:7b89707afa]

As you can can see Burgundy is again, well below expected. They have a better rating versus all 11 teams at home and seven on the road with one disadvantage (Jeep) and three ties(C2,Big A, Smokey)

Jeep and C2 are right behind and Warrior not too far back. Jeep has the second biggest advantage at home with 9 and 2 ties while C2 is 8 and 3. Warrior, C2 andJeep are the best road teams with 8 advantages. AT, NP and Hawk should really struggle on the road. AT doesn't have an advantage in any park while Hawk and NP are better only than AT at home.

Well I read the whole thing. Very interesting as always.

My team rankings are about what I would have expected, really not many surprises there. Therefore I don't have many comments, but it is as always appreciated. All the hard work is evident.

I guess the most interesting is how we fare in our home parks and in away parks. I'm glad I did well there.

Well, the ratings say that. I have to say that I haven't sat an analyzed each team position by position.

I would say that the ratings indicate that you're in a tough division with three of the top 5 or 6 teams.

For me

Postby FRANKWAELTERMANN » Sat Sep 05, 2009 2:51 am

that's almost too much information to swallow. What I get is that my team seems to be not that bad, right?

I would like to thank the ratings for my sweep over Niners squad last night. I think somewhere in the plethora of info above this was predicted. :)
