Well, first let me say I'm VERY disapointed in my team's performance from season 1 to season 2. From 91 wins to 74, without changing anything other than a whole season of Span, instead of half. VERY suprised/disappointed at the results. :shock: :cry:

That said my outlook for next year is pretty solid in position players, on a 5 point scale 1 being worst and 5 best:

C Ianetta/Pierzynski - 3 1/2
1b Youklis, Morales. Kotchman - 4 1/2
2b Utley - 5
3b Wright, Beckham - 4 1/2
ss Reyes Harris - 1
LF Span - 4
CF Ellsbury/Rowand - 4
RF Hawpe - 3 1/2

Bench Dn.Murphy, C. Gomez, Seth Smith. Dlm Young - 2

Clearly I'll be after a SS and maybe looking to ad power bat to the OF.

Pitching is a whole different ball of wax though

Only Jackson, Jurrjens and Feldman look above average, Kazmir, Zambrano and Porcello are okay but not dominate and I have more tham enough injured guys to keep a medical staff busy with Duchscherer, A. Sanchez, and Volquez all being lost causes next year.

The Bullpen is what it is. I always feel lucky if I get 2 good years out of a bullpen guy so I'm always looking at rebuilding there, but if Feliz keeps going the way he is for Texas and gets a card, he'll be eating most of my relief innings if I can get HAL to comply. :wink:

But I'll need a closer too so SS Closer and pitching will be my targets of the ofseason/draft- Just something to keep in mind if you are lokking to make a deal with me.

I think we have the makings of a contender again, this lineup is vs RH with LH after the slash if I have a platoon:

C: Baker/X 3
1B: Pena 4
2B: F Lopez 3
SS: Asdy Cabrera 4.5
3B: Stewart/Laroche 3
LF: Dickerson/Spilborghs 2
CF: Rasmus/? 3.5
RF: Choo 5
DH: Lind/Pearce 5

Rotation: Lincecum, Lester, Lilly, Harden, Lowe/Buchholz

Pen: Frasor, Fuentes, Papelbon, Thornton, Bard

Right now 5th SP not looking great, and I'd like better LF options though Dickerson's OB vs RH is decent. The rest is very playable, Lind having a huge year vs RH, Choo will be a nice leadoff card, and Cabrera should have plus bat & D at SS. Lincecum anchors a decent staff, and adding 1 arm to the pen should not be tough.

I'm counting on what might be the best starting staff in the league next year. I have problems at 2B and the bullpen, and I'm still not sold on either Ibanez or S. Drew. I'd like to improve the overall team defense as well, especially in the outfield.

Hopefully I can fill the holes in the draft, as I have 2 of the top 3 picks in the spring. I might also be able to move a starter to fill one of the holes.

I'd also like to get out of Wrigley Field for next year. Anyone with a more pitcher friendly park want to swap?
