Carry over of starting pitchers after trade

What happens when you get a pitcher after a trade, in TSN? Does his fatigued level carry over?

Damn good question. I am sure a pitcher you pick up in free agency is fresh. But do you know for certain that a traded pitcher will be fresh for his new team, even if he pitched the last game for his old team?

Well, I won`t have any other choice than try it, as I went forward with the trade. My 6th SP pitched the last two preceding games and is not available. I guess I'll go with a quick hook, just to make sure he doesn`t stay 5 innings at F0.

I wonder if they even let a starting pitcher go if he has not had the proper rest. When I have had this problem due to a SP getting injured, the computer always started my long reliever or set up man instead of a tired SP.

hes fresh as new. a pitcher can start game 21 for me and i trade him he can start game 22 for you and is at full speed!

so one( two really) could start Lowe(6.38) and Haren(6.34) in G1 of the season and then trade for each and after every series and each could start G1 again.

I'm sure most would consider that collusion and TSN would likely intervene.

This has always been the case, but I've never heard of two managers gaming this. The most blatant collusion I could imagine is if two managers each had 3 good SPs (4 or 5 day starters) and 50-cent 4th and 5th starters. They could trade their "Big 3" back-and-forth each night. Neither manager would have to pitch #4 and #5 before the trade deadline. This of course, would be blatant collusion.

Realistically, I've traded for a pitcher who just pitched, and he was good-to-go in his first game on my team. So maybe I got one bonus start out of him.

Silly me! I remember starting my mop-up man a game once because I didn't think the new pitcher I traded for was rested.
