Outstanding season for Jody Gerut!

I thought I just had to share with you all this fantastic hitting display by a guy who I was a bit skeptical to spend $6M on, especially with <600 PAs. I guess he made up for a rather lackluster performance by $8.15M Berkman.

Gerut, in 157 games and 667 ABs with PNC as my home park:

224 Hits
113 Runs
35 2Bs
11 3Bs
39 HRs
153 RBIs

.336 / .369 / .597

It must be because he's a former Indian! Go Tribe (in 2010)!!!

Those are incredible numbers. I wish the Tribe had never gotten rid of him.

I'm not so sure. He had a very slow 1st half, so this year's stats will not give him the same card.

112 games
241 ABs

.237 / .285 / .386

He was hitting around the .150 mark for most of the season this year. Has been playing a lot more since Cory Hart had his appendectomy and actually has been hitting quite well. Maybe even well enough to get a full time job next year if the Brewers aren't able to resign Cameron.

Hard to say, though. He probably isn't a good enough fielder to play CF.
