yeah Chuck, you've gone amazingly cold and Silver has rubbed his lucky charm again to get hot at the end of the season. The guy does it NLD after NLD, incredible.

11-4 over the last 5 series. If I can't make the playoffs I don't want you to either. :D :D

Yeah, you've been a nemesis, but I'm 7-2 with you at home and swept you last time. We'll need to do that again, but can you please knock off C2 for me?? ;)

The bad news for us is that Nady is out for the series. Hugely bad time for an injury. At least it was for only 4 games and we won the first one thanks to a two hitter by Harden. I guess in return you'll be missing Loney for the first two. Not exactly fair, but better than nothing I guess!

We're going to need some help I fear. We're rooting hard for Jeep and NP to beat Big M. I guess I'm rooting for C2 to win 2 from Silver. At least we have the tie breaker with them. Won't have it with Silver so we'll have to probably sweep them to make the POs. Not looking good unless Big M takes a nose dive. OTOH, maybe I do want Silver to beat C2. Maybe our only real chance is the WC. If Big M is right, we'll need to sweep our last six to reach 85 wins and the POs. Going to be tough. :(

gotta be one of the smallest spreads between teams 1-12 that i have seen in a while, even for NLD. good luck to every one in there last six.

I'm not going to say "I like my chances" like BigM has said, on more than one occasion mind you. It takes a lot of confidence in this Strat-O-Jinx game to do that.

I will echo Smokey's remark, the records are extremely tight. I doubt anyone who makes the P/O's can count themselves as favorites. It's always a crap shoot (anyway) as we like to say, but it's really going to be a crap shoot this season in the post.

GL everybody in these last six. I'm going to be political for a sec...I'm pulling for everyone equally.

Since so many of the contending teams have struggled down the stretch, my initial projection of the necessary win total appears too high. 84 will definitely get in now, and most likely 83.

HUGE series with Jeep tonight at my park. I have to win 2 to stay alive, and even that won't be enough if Joe wins 2 also.

Does it get any better than the NLD in Strat Online? :D

Yes! I could be up by 15 games and resting my injury players! ;)

On a more serious note, here's a look at the PO situation:

First what we know for sure:
Smokey, with a 9-1 closing rush has clinched the central, but not home field.

From there, here are the numbers for the division champs
[b:637d40fdff]
East [/b:637d40fdff]
Jeep's - magic number is two to win the East, but since he plays Big M, one win will do it.
Big M - has to sweep Jeep.
NP and AT can't win division

[b:637d40fdff] West [/b:637d40fdff]
Silver - wins one, he wins division because he has the tie breaker with Burgundy, and if C2 sweeps to force a three way tie, he has 26 wins against the two teams versus Burgundy's 25 and C2's 21.
Burgundy - has to sweep to take division
C2- is elminated due to tie breakers.

[b:637d40fdff]WC[/b:637d40fdff]
Jeep - If Big M sweeps him, he still hae a chance at the WC as long as Burgundy doesn't sweep Silver because he has tie breaker. We're rooting big time for Jeep!
Big M - Has to do better than Burgundy does to get WC (assuming they don't sweep Jeep and get the division)
NP - has to sweep AT, and hope that Big M, Burgundy both get swept AND C2 doesn't sweep Stoney
Silver - if he gets swept, could still make WC as Long as C2 doesn't sweep and Big M wins one or less.
Burgundy - Has to do the same or better than Big M (assuming both don't sweep and take the divisions) and has to be no more than one worse than C2.
C2 - Has to be two better than Burgundy and one better than Big M

I think that's about it. Last day of the season and seven teams still have a shot at the playoffs!
